Thanks, James, for seeking out some positives amongst the gloom. You talk about our agency in fighting for redistribution via organised working class, as a life-raft in our current reality of climate perma-crisis. How do we go beyond this to best build agency to counter capitalism’s drive for growth? And can you expand on relationship between humans, nature and production of value in our finite world?

Can James please respond to this article… tbh i think it is justified https://www.newstatesman.com/comment/2023/01/left-wing-keir-starmer-resist… We should expect nothing from a Starmer administration as of right. We should expect climate protestors to be gaoled, the private sector to be key to any transition to renewables, strong opposition to union pay demands, ongoing privatisation of the NHS. And much more. And we need to fight Starmer tooth and nail and not give an inch.

Cheers -thanks for the opportunity. The UK has the least productive foundational economy in Europe. Whilst I'm sceptical about the Labour party's appetite for economic reform, at least Rachel Reeves has been talking about this issue through the lens of the "everyday economy". Practically though, how can government improve the productivity of basic neighbourhood level goods, services and care?
