Rictor - WIP 02

Making some progress on Rictor.  I had a pretty solid color rough to start with so instead of doing any new sketches, I just went straight into painting on top it.  It's hard to keep the energy and attitude of a nice a sketch when you redraw it(at least for me) so I like when I feel confident enough with the sketch to work directly on it.  I wanted to throw in some of the notes I had for myself going forward to show you the things I think about when I'm working on a piece.  At my old job, clients would often give a lot of feedback and to make it easier for me to digest, I would write the notes on my art to keep me from being overwhelmed.  It helps me to stay on task, and have a clear path forward.  It also helps me to no avoid areas I don't enjoy dealing with as much like shoes/hands.

Also tossed in a little color tip on there.  I feel like this tip is pretty common knowledge, but in case it's not for ya, it's a really easy way to level up your color.  I get a lot of questions on painting skin, and although there's a lot more that goes into painting dynamic skin tones, this is a great place to start if that's something you're looking to improve on.  Plus you can apply it just about anywhere to make your colors pop.
