WIP - D&D Animation

I've had this in my WIP folder since.....2021? (even I have put off making a post about this)

Because of how long this went for and how much I've edited the rough, I've only grabbed snippets of WIPS of this from the discord.

A bit of a background, I've always wanted to make a tribute for the D&D characters I've played for the last 5 years (at the time) so I went with wanting to make an anime-styled rundown of all them (excluding one, I'm sorry Kookie).

She is still in this rough but I ultimately decided to remove her because I felt I did not know how to animate an explosion yet....

I didn't even know what was going through me when I also decided to include shading but I dropped that for the last 2 characters as I just wanted to have this finished.

As someone who is fueled by instinct and not much technical know-how for animation, there were definitely a bunch of technical challenges that I had to overcome. Sometimes I had to scrap some things altogether which probably was the reason why this took so long.

One of the stuff I definitely wanted to try out is incorporating 3D into the workflow so I tried using CSPs 3D model reference feature so I grabbed a parasol model from the CSP Asset store. Perhaps one day CSP will allow you to make key frames for 3d models because I had to manually rasterize each pose haha. 

I'm personally just glad I've finished this and even I don't even know what I picked up doing this but perhaps it is a subconscious thing....
