WIP - Giovanna
Added 2022-02-10 00:42:43 +0000 UTCI had this WIP since....*checks file's date created*...JUNE OF LAST YEAR?? Decided to push to finishing this on stream (which you can find archived in my pinned post or here) since I think I dropped this when I got stuck on composing the wolf. A lot of the problems I had was eventually solved by turning this into a more vertical composition. You can definitely go through my struggles watching the VOD as I worry about smears, shape language, and the darn doggy.
There were a lot of things I had to redraw/resketch so this piece definitely took longer than it should've. I still really like this pose so it was nice to wrap up this longstanding WIP.
Thinking about it, I do tend to put WIPs on hold when I encounter problems. Perhaps I don't have the mental energy to put it into problem solving when it comes to a personal piece when the past months I have been doing that for work. I suppose I just want a straightforward and stress-free drawing experience when doing personal sketches/pieces. ANYWAY some realizations!!
