v0.50.0 Game Status

Evening all, it's time for the first release of the month! This was a pretty short calendar cycle, but I did have time to squeeze in the Climax Mission as well as a bit of additional code work.

The climax sequence has a few steps to it. First, once you've flipped enough Directors to have a shot at winning the game, Hellfire will send you a message the next evening with a list of key targets. Part two will be taking and winning the Climax Mission, which will effectively be this game's 'point of no return', although currently I'm planning to allow players to continue exploring old scenes after the ending anyways. The final step will be the actual branching ending scenes, which will be my goal for the second half of the month - I currently have three planned, and I'm hoping to get in at least two in February. Until those are complete, the mission can be rerun as often as you like.

(Pro-tip for the new mission: generalist teams may have a bit of trouble, I would recommend finding two stats to specialize in.)

I also have some minor updates in for the introduction sequence, and one key bugfix - apparently when I added the Office Upgrades system some months back, I accidentally broke the Directors' introduction scenes. As luck would have it, I tested every Director scene except those, it seems. For free players who don't want to wait until this release goes free to see the scenes, I believe v0.46.0 and earlier versions should allow them. Otherwise, you can still progress Director plotlines, but the text for their first scenes will not display.

I'll probably be doing this month's dev poll this weekend, otherwise, I'll be back in a few weeks with us one step closer to the ending! For now, patch notes below, game links to follow:
