When I saw they were setting up a 'people think Rusty is the Blue Morpho' plotline, I inwardly cringed, because those always come across as very poorly thought out. But I don't know why, it just works in this show. My theory is it's because they directly address all the logical problems that most other shows don't (how does he change clothes so fast, etc etc), and also because they have Billy as this inherently silly proponent of the theory, which is such a funny idea that it makes the whole thing okay by me. By the way, I've been able to hold back and refrain myself from getting too far ahead, but thanks to a mix of quarantine and some late night McDonald's, I ended up binging the rest of Season 6 and Season 7. I almost wanna hold onto my hot take, but I'm scared I might forget it by the time you guys get there, so here it is (SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T CAUGHT UP YET): The Morpho Trilogy at the beginning of S7 should have been a movie a la All This and Gargantua-2, because maybe then it would have avoided feeling like three episodes of people being like 'let me explain you something' over and over again (and also maybe then it would have made Wide Whale less of a joke-- I mean, come on, Season 7 just completely removed any threat that character had, and the same goes for St. Cloud, he's portrayed as such a buffoon in his S7 episode). I had to take a break when Hatred literally runs out of the plot to set up a balloon that comes out of nowhere and is only there to save Rusty/Monarch at the end (and set up a rather funny tag joke so I'll give them that).
