2025-08-18 22:00:20 +0000 UTCMan that entire session was like 5 hours of fighting and its not a fully one to one obviously but like so many of the key moments; grog getting impaled, the team on the roofs surrounding them, Grogs "Vox Machina. Fuck. Shit. Up!" And even that finally hit dropping from the sky, all were pretty much word for word and PERFECT! They have done so well with translating everything (and in such short epsiodes is WILD!) Also if I remember correctly everyone was like in single digits and they were so stressed about losing, Grog was at like 1 or 2 HP and I think grapple by Kevdak, and Laura fucking Bailey had that idea and risked taking multiple opportunity attacks to get him out and drop him! And i believe there was like 3, ALL missed! And then I believe Travis got a nat20 on that hit finishing off Kevdak and then knocking himself unconscious π€£ but god damn I remember being GLUED to the screen hahaha

Between his wanting for genuine love in his life when talking to the Sphinx and how he was looking after a weakened Grog, Scanlan's paternal attitude has been getting subtly established.

2025-08-18 17:19:07 +0000 UTCThe best part about this fight is that it is word for word & scene for scene from the campaign. Travis says these exact lines, Laura comes up with this exact plan, and to top it off that finishing hit is a natural 20 for a crit. Such an insane moment from the campaign.

He's been in stuff like the VVitch and he played Cid in FFXVI, dude just has a super iconic voice and I highly recommend checking out some of the other stuff he's done.

2025-08-18 15:11:30 +0000 UTCOh yeah the table scene for that was insane too, Sam did not expect it whatsoever, it honestly came out of nowhere and just shocked the entire table and Sam totally rolled with it. Absolutely legendary moment. Kinda funny that you have two different shows with absentee fathers. I think Gon has a very different perspective to Kaylie.
