Who wants to try some Satriani?
Added 2025-09-22 11:30:02 +0000 UTCJoe Satriani’s tone is legendary and pretty tough to match with a digital amp modeler. The only way to truly nail it is with his full gear setup - which I don't have access to unfortunately. I got as close as I could using Amplitube, and I'm pretty happy with the results. For the tab, I really focused on replicating the studio version, while blending a few things I’ve seen him do live. The tapping section can be a real challenge — worth trying if you’re up for it!

Weirdly (?) I'm way more interested in the Enya than Mr. Sat. He's obviously a phenomenal musician, pretty much a Warlock, but I've just personally never enjoyed listening to him play. I respect the holy hell out of him and would attend a seminar he was putting on... but I've never desired learning his stuff or reaching for his tone. TBF there are very few mainly instrumental guitarists I enjoy listening to, so it's definitely me not him. I respect him tremendously, but not one of his pieces is on any of my playlists. Same as Vai, really. But I'm surely an outlier. 🤘🙂↕️🎸
