Hunter was flailing when Willow and Gus asked who he is, Flapjack chirped, and then Hunter goes, “Caleb? Caleb!” Also, back in 2x06 when we first met Flapjack, at the end of the episode he chirps at the Bat Queen and she says, “You’ve finally found someone after all this time?” And in 2x10 the book Jacob showed with a picture of the two brothers meeting a witch, the brother in the front, who looked like Hunter and seemed eager to see the witch, had a cardinal on his shoulder.

Below could've gone home whenever he wanted after Hunter gave him the portal key at the end of Eclipse Lake. The draining spell is exclusively because below is genocidal and wants to kill at witches. There is no purpose to it beyond mass murder. Edit: finished watching, great reaction. I always love seeing people react to the end of season 2 haha, it just comes out of nowhere. But expanding on my further point I really think you guys are comparing Belos to Father too much and it's causing you to misunderstand his character. He's a religious fanatic with an intense guilt complex, he doesn't want power for power's sake but because he believes he can use it to destroy the enemies of God, and by enemies of god i of course mean a religious/ethnic minority. The draining spell is just a pg way of committing genocide, outside of the obviously aesthetic inspiration it's not actually that similar to father's plan

2023-06-27 00:13:27 +0000 UTCYou seem to be confused as to the purpose/relationship of the draining spell, covens and the portal door. THe draining spell was NOT needed at all to open the portal. Belos literally just wanted to kill everyone then dip. Remember Eda had a portal door that worked for years. All Belos needed to open the door was Titan blood which Hunter got him in Eclipse Lake. The draining spell wasn't powering the door, it was just sucking all the witches magic away leaving them all to die. The spell is powered by the 9 coven heads which is why belos needed them. Basically He had 2 plans: 1 kill everyone and 2, open the portal and go back home.
