I love his drive and ambition it's his direction of those characteristics that need growth on but it makes sense because he's been boosted up by everyone around him because of his "Flashy quirk perfect for a future hero" he internalized that to mean that he was the greatest even better than all might... but at this point he's still a teenager he hasn't had many hardships or positive growth opprotunities in his life to improve his demenor... but he's still one of my favorite characters and I love his growth throughout the show as the characters get older and experience more together

Yes, "How high are your aspirations?" is important, but "How badly do you want it?" is the telling bit. In the Japanese, Deku says Bakugo's "mokuhyou" (goal; target; aim; objective) and "jishin" (self-confidence) are "sugoi" (amazing).

A lot of reactors don't get the depth of the complicated relationship and it's really refreshing to see someone understand right off the bat! Also, the fact that she characterized Katsuki as a "yappy chihuahua" is hilarious because he's often referred to in fanfic and fanart as an angry Pomeranian lol. (also I think it's interesting that Izuku still calls Katsuki 'Kacchan' and that Katsuki hasn't told him to stop.)

2023-06-17 15:57:54 +0000 UTCI think we skipped a humiliating (for Bakugo) dimension to this fight, which is that he's so incredibly insulted that the weakling he's bullied forever won't even use his quirk when he's being faced with mortal peril (Bakugo takes care to announce his big attacks too) and in his mind, its like the weakling doesn't even consider him worth using any special powers and that must sting.
