New Race: Malfestian

Hello Everyone,

Coming in at the end of the month with some updates through the patron requests. I was requested to create a malfestio race using the Owlin from the WotC Strixhaven book as a template.

The big thing I ran into with this race and the Owlin, is the flight and ASI basically take up all of its points (how I determine balance) for what the race can do. So because of the flight, I was fairly limited on what else I could add. So I lowered the Owlin's darkvision to 60 feet, removed a language option and its stealth proficiency. In doing so, I was able to get the player the option to pick because a single target confusion effect at 3rd level, or invisibility with a bit of extra flavor/utility.

I am happy with how it turned out and I hope you are as well. I think next month I am going to put out an update to AGtMH and the MHMM and include this race in it, along with the kechaborn.
