The Dwarves/Kickstarter

Q. Is there anything different/extra in the new 'Dwarves V2' Kickstarter that backers of the first campaign don't get.

A. No. The Dwarves V2 campaign is essentially a late pledge campaign with updated images a long with all the extra stuff we've made which went above and beyond the original campaign, stuff that is already available to the original backers. 

If anything were to get added, then backers of either campaign would still get the rewards as they will ultimately share the same repositories.

Q. There was talk of a TMNT themed Kickstarter, if/when will that happen.

A. After some consulting and digging into the potential legal implications of doing something loosely based on an established IP we opted against doing it.

If we did a campaign and it garnered a lot of interest it would probably get pulled by Kickstarter or we'd get a cease and desist order. We have a plan to still do them via the patreon as a goal for reaching a certain number or potentially as a monthly theme as the platform is about supporting artists not buying products. We still need to figure out the details.

Q. Are you going to do other Kickstarter campaigns with different themes/player races?

A. Yes. We're currently in the planning phase for something which should hopefully go live later in the year. It will be a bit smaller in scale and it's based on our own creation.

Q. Will you be doing any monthly themes?

A. With the wave of Dwarves coming to an end we're thinking about doing monthly themes or 2 monthly themes yes. There are potential pitfalls with that given we're a smaller patreon but we're talking about exploring the option.

Q. Will we have the opportunity to get the special offer models from previous months? will they be included in the returning archive months?

A. Yes, they already have been. For the month of August we're going to include all the special offer models so far in that month for people who have missed them

We're probably going to phase out the special offer model in general and instead focus that time on just making more models in that month with the potential of giving a model away for free more regularly.

Q. Will you be providing supported versions of your oldest models?

A. This is still on the cards, we have done a couple already and will do more over time as time permits.

Q. Now that newer models come baseless, will you be making generic or themed bases?

A. Generic bases are already available in various sizes in the free models folder. Our intent is to also do some themed/less generic bases in the future.

Q. Will you ever be making any props or terrain pieces?

A. So this is one of the most asked questions. We could, there is a finite amount of time to make things each month so it would take time away from characters at points. I think we might do a small poll on this one.

Q. Do you take commissions?

A. Another frequent question. So we could explore this, so I ask some questions, how much would you pay to have a custom mini at a similar detail to the models we make? 

How would you like to pay for it? Via a Patron tier or paypal etc... Any answers could prove helpful.

Q. You stopped streaming recently, will you be doing more streams in future?

A. Yeah people may have noticed I started to slow streaming and then eventually stopped in June. Some already know the reasons but I'll put them here. We lost a family member in June and more recently lost a pet of 15 years AND I've done some reorganizing at home.

June and July have just been shitty months and it took it's toll emotionally. I'm hoping to resume them in the future, if/when I do I'll post my usual announcements.

Technical

Q. What 3D software do you use?

A. I use a combination of Maya for modelling, Zbrush for sculpting and Marmoset Toolbag 3 for the renders.

Q. What tablet do you use?

A. I used to use a Cintiq 24HD which I sold last year, I now have a Cintiq 13HD and a Wacom Intuos Pro to be portable and save on space, I almost exclusively use the Intuos day to day.
