Hi all. Here we are again with a few bits of extra shite to go with the latest podcast. In pics that means the BSA Ariel 3, including a star-packed promo picture and a weird vintage ad, followed by a shot of two Vincent Amandas. Now, some linkage...
I wonder if Chris Goffey has been listening since 2020 when during the Prelude 2.2, yeah? video Rich introduced Chris Gothy @ 20:27 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVfe7BjqiLs

This is the promo video supplied with the MG presentation pack my dad got when he had his first of 3 Montego Turbos. Check out the stylish driving shoes.

Other delights in the presentation pack were an MG tie, ladies MG headscarf, MG watch where you could remove the strap and fit a small steel stand to the base, and probably some other MG tat. I think they also put a bunch of flowers in the back seat too for my mum (or maybe they were for my dad). I've still got the VHS tape.

As Bruce Dickinson off of Iron Maiden is Rob Dickinson off of Singers cousin do we think there's any chance of a Singer 911 Eddie Study with an axle wielding skull air brushed on the bonnet of an immaculately restored 964?

Now that Jonny has run out of Iron Maiden live shows maybe he can give early Queen a chance.
A good place to start is Queen 1974 such as Live at the Rainbow.
If you want something that's bang up to date you can't go wrong with Japanese rock music. Try the Waggaki band's Homura - you won't be disappointed. Specifically: https://youtu.be/ponTbDDMYjw?si=kom-47xN8uRid13b and https://youtu.be/OaC6ZY0KYVc?si=sLS8ABqqy50vdm0t

I went karting in Warrington for my stag do, which has a steep up and down ramp. I had kindly been given a spray tan beforehand (as we were in Liverpool) and as I went round the track the tan sweated down into my eyes and blinded me. I came down the ramp at speed, couldn’t see a thing and then smacked into the tyres at full pelt. It hurt. A lot.

The end anecdote is fabulous and told, very much in the style of a surreal tale from the early 90s Chris Morris Radio 1 shows. If you've never heard them they're well worth digging out

A-Ha is directly responsible for Norway going EV thanks to an EV-converted Fiat Panda called the Larel Will 202. It was basically a guerilla publicity campaign run with an environmentalist named Frederic Hauge, where they imported this thing into Norway and then would all drive around Oslo racking up unpaid road tolls until the Fiat was repossessed, then go buy it back at auction for next to nothing as no-one else wanted it. Norway's media covered the story regularly, because A-Ha was involved, and the government eventually caved and made EVs exempt from tolls - because who cares about odd little battery-powered Fiats? Then, when EVs started becoming more mainstream, avoiding Oslo's punishing road tolls became a huge benefit of buying a Nissan Leaf etc.
