Fairy Ring

For anyone unfamiliar with fairy rings, they're a naturally occuring ring of mushrooms, but have quite a bit of folklore behind them. I'd recommend reading up on them as there's a clear reference to couple of different stories in this picture.
I started with a rough sketch of the layout and focused on finishing the woods. The girls didn't actually get their lineart until after the background was done. The origjnal is slightly larger than A3 and will work as a wallpaper later on.
Never drawn this many mushrooms.
Base colour layer doesn't reflect their future colours in any way, but I needed to be clear with separating the characters from each other as their colour themes will be very different from one another.
Characters present are Erwil and Tytti. ♥
