OBS Studio 27.1 release candidates are now available!
Added 2021-09-01 02:03:41 +0000 UTCVersion 27.1 is currently in testing! It's a minor update so it doesn't have too many features, changes, or fixes, but here are some of the most notable:
YouTube Streaming Integration
You can now connect and configure your YouTube account directly from within OBS without needing your stream key. When starting your stream, you can set your stream title, description, privacy settings, and other details. Also adds a YouTube chat dock pane (currently read-only). This was made in cooperation with YouTube and Google.
Track Matte Stinger Features/Fixes
After a lot of requests, I added a "Mask Only" option to the stinger transitions which allows you to use a video as a mask transition between scene A and scene B.
I also fixed an annoying bug where stingers would flash when using track matte stingers. Track matte stingers should consistently play back fine now.
Media Source Optimization
We had a case where the media sources would spin CPU cycles a bit while waiting for a new frame to play back at a specific timing; we managed to eliminate that issue, so now media sources have a reasonably significant reduction to their CPU usage. This improvement also affects stingers. Many thanks to rcdrone for this improvement.

2021-09-06 01:21:53 +0000 UTCYea, unfortunately we kind of need our macOS hotkey subsystem rewritten. The current way we handle hotkeys will break under certain circumstances. Really sorry about that. I should probably take another stab at it, it's been a problem for a while.

2021-09-03 16:12:01 +0000 UTCgood stuff. was hoping the "keyboard interact" macOS fix in the changelog somehow fixed my ongoing issue but i guess it didn't. https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/4126 super annoying one that probably needs some focus (affects me on a daily basis, i have to use mouse to toggle mute currently)
