OBS 26.0 is out!
Added 2020-09-30 10:47:10 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Testing of version 26.0 has finally completed and is now available!
Here are just some of the new things in version 26:
- The Windows virtual camera, which allows you to use the output of OBS in other programs on your computer as though it were a camera. macOS and Linux virtual camera are also coming soon!
- The new source toolbar, which allows quick/easy access to common properties of the source you have selected without having to open the properties dialog, along with additional features such as media controls (play/pause/seek/etc) when you have a media source selected. If you don't like it taking up space that's fine too, you can disable it in the View menu -> Source Toolbar.
- An updated noise suppression filter, with a new AI-based noise suppression algorithm (it has surprisingly low CPU usage too)
- The ability to take uncompressed screenshots of your preview, sources, or scenes
- New QSV encoder improvements and optimizations courtesy of Intel
- Various quality of life improvements and tweaks
- Lots of bug fixes

Thank you all so much for continuing to support the program. I am very grateful!

This virtual Camera was a very welcome addition, I've been wanting something like that in OBS for a while! Thanks!

2020-10-18 01:34:08 +0000 UTCThanks! Virtual camera is a must-have for us, conference speakers, after Zoom dropped the ability to share only the specific app window (slides) while having another windows full-screen (speaker console)
2020-10-03 09:13:20 +0000 UTCWas very much looking forward to virtual camera and screenshots.. thanks!
