Idaho is almost exclusively rural, so I'm extremely on board with the rural dive-bar tour. Pretty please? 🤞🏻

The door to Moria is basically an ancient cat flap for the elves

The door to Moria is not really explained in the movie but in the books it's from like a time when dwarves and elves got along better and had a lot of trade. So like the dwarves mined the mithril and the elves turned it into magic stuff that only reflects starlight and moonlight or whatever. Everybody was chill and trading and stuff and then... the dwarves delved too greedily, and too deep.

This is exactly why I'm glad Earlin didn't go to the fae wild. It would've been so sad if they got separated like that right as Bev finally figured out his feelings

The Doors of Durin are in elvish because it was built by the elves and the dwarves together as a way to build a relationship between the two races. That's why the puzzle was in elvish

I'm not sure which book Emily read, but everyone should check out "Secret History of the Mongol Queens" by Jack Weatherford! Moonshine would love Khutulun.

Woo! It's an art college town where everyone either plays D&D or does improv so it stands to reason that it would actually be a pretty dang good live show location.

I done think they need to worry about time flying by in the material plane because it's the Fey Wild that is on forward. If anything, they'll finish in the Fey Wild and only 15 minutes back home will have passed.

In response to the question about the doors of Moria, I think they were a gift from the elves who at the time enjoyed cordial relations with the Dwarves of Moria, so speaking "Friend" in Elvish was proof that they were their allies- as it's the back entrance to Moria, not the main doors.

I love love love where the narrative is going. I knew as soon as the bear prince said his nemesis was "gnome-sized," they were going to be a green teen/knight. So excited!

Yikes that reveal of the Trisses as sex slaves or at least brainwashed cult members was some HARD mood whiplash. I am not afraid to say I was a little creeped out by how easily I fell for the Bear Prince's superficial charms, like a real cult dupe.

Hey y'all. Great episode as usual. Loved everything. I saw this post on the subreddit (not sure if I can post links or not:https://www.reddit.com/r/NotAnotherDnDPodcast/comments/ajljnx/spoilers_in_sponsored_advertising_spoilers_ep45 ) but basically a listener got spoiled that Hardwon ends up with the hammer because of an ad break. I love the show, don't fault you guys at all for wanting sponsors. But maybe there is a way to avoid spoilers like that in the future? Anyways. Done ranting. Great episode. Keep up the great work work. Can't wait for the next one
