NARUTO GODLY TALENT CHAPTER 44 : SASUKE VS KANKURO

"Shikamaru Nara and Kin please come to the fighting ground," said the Proctor.

"Such a drag," Said Shikamaru.

Shikamaru did not wanted to fight but his mother cornered him. If he did not give his 100 per cent then he will not get food or entry to the house.

Not to mention the amount of hard work which he has to go through after that is not something which he is looking forwards to seeing.

Shikamaru grumbles and finally enters the fighting ring.

His opponent was Kin of the sound village and he was not particularly looking forwards to fighting a girl.

"What a drag," thought Shikamaru.

Then the match started and Kin started to attack Shikamaru with her needles.

Shikamaru easily dodge and started using his shadow imitation jutsu but Kin was much faster.

Shikamaru tried but his shadow was not fast enough that he could catch Kin.

Kin on the other hand had to maintain a certain distance from Shikamaru thought out the match.

Shikamaru created a really good strategy and used Kin string which she was using to trap her later just like in the canon.

For Akira, this was a cool match. Not much real fighting amazing strategy by Shikamaru.

"Next match is between, Sasuke Uchiha VS Kankuro," said the proctor.

This was a match everyone was excited about.

Akira too was looking forward to this match and wanted to know who will win.

He had full confidence in Sasuke that he will win the battle but he still wanted to see how the real battle will go.

Sasuke and Kankuro soon came to the fighting ring and were about to start the fight.

"Alright, Go Sasuke, show that makeup freak who is the boss" shouted Naruto.

"Make sure that you give us a good fight," said Akira.

Sasuke did not care about them and just focus on Kankuro.

The proctor signalled the start of the match, and the fight between Sasuke and Kankuro began. Sasuke wasted no time, swiftly forming hand seals and unleashing a barrage of shurikens towards Kankuro. But Kankuro, being a master puppeteer, skillfully manoeuvred his puppet, Karasu, to deflect the shurikens with precision. The crowd erupted with excitement as they witnessed Kankuro's impeccable defence.

Sasuke's eyes gleamed with determination as he activated his Sharingan, enhancing his visual perception. With newfound speed and accuracy, Sasuke charged towards Kankuro, his lightning-fast strikes aimed at overwhelming his opponent. But Kankuro, relying on his puppet's dexterity, manoeuvred Karasu with agile movements, skillfully dodging Sasuke's attacks.

Not one to back down, Sasuke leapt into the air, his hands crackling with chakra. He unleashed a powerful Chidori, aiming to strike Kankuro directly. However, Kankuro, recognizing the danger, skillfully manipulated his puppet, crowding Sasuke's vision with a barrage of puppets, obscuring his target. Sasuke's Chidori dispersed harmlessly, leaving him momentarily vulnerable.

Seizing the opportunity, Kankuro commanded Karasu to unleash a barrage of senbon needles from its mouth, aimed straight at Sasuke. However, Sasuke, displaying his agility and speed, narrowly dodged the deadly projectiles, evading the onslaught. With a swift movement, Sasuke activated his Sharingan once again and retaliated with a devastating fireball jutsu, engulfing the arena in flames.

The flames danced around the battlefield, creating an intense spectacle. Kankuro, undeterred, skillfully manoeuvred his puppet amidst the fiery chaos, utilizing its agility to its fullest potential. Sasuke's eyes narrowed as he devised a new strategy, utilizing his superior speed and precision to get close to Kankuro.

Closing the distance in an instant, Sasuke unleashed a series of lightning-quick strikes, aiming to catch Kankuro off guard. But Kankuro, ever the resourceful fighter, skillfully manipulated his puppet, striking back with unexpected counterattacks. The battle between the two became a captivating dance of skill and strategy, each fighter pushing their limits to gain the upper hand.

At this point, Akira was thinking why Sasuke is playing with this guy so much. He already knows Sasuke's current power and speed.

Sasuke could easily end the battle. He did not even have to display his Chidori. What is he playing at?

Sasuke at this point just wanted to test out Kankuro. He wanted to gaze at the Sand Genin's power. He was especially interested in Gaara and thus understanding how powerful an opponent is, better.

Naruto at this time was cheering for Sasuke and Ino was the same.

Temari and Gaara though were not cheering for Kankuro.

"Geez, good I don't have siblings like them," thought Akira.

After fully understanding Kankuro's power, Sasuke finally decided to end the battle.

He quickly forms hand signs and fires a great fire ball jutsu at Kankuro.

This time the fireball was much faster than before but Kankuro was somehow able to avoid the fireball.

But Sasuke did not give him more time and directly launch an attack when Kankuro was in the air.

The puppet which Kankuro was using was outright ignored by Sasuke.

Thanks to his Sharingan, he was able to see where the real Kankuro was hiding and attack him.

"Awesome, now that's how team 7 fights" shouted Naruto.

Naruto was super excited to start another match but he had to wait for the finals.

Sasuke finally ended the match with Kankuro's defeat.

While Sasuke was coming back the proctor announce the second last match.

"Gaara vs Rock Lee," said the Proctor.

"This is not good, especially if this happened exactly like the canon," thought Akira.

Soon Lee and Gaara came down to the fighting ring, ready to fight.

"Well let's see, it's not like I can't fix Lee if he ended up getting hurt anyways," thought Akira with an anticipation of a really good battle in his eyes.
