This one gave me everything I wanted! Villains, lairs, hearts of gold, adorableness, good music, a heartwarming ending!! ♡♡ Definitely curious how they were able to make so many sequels from this, I thought it was a pretty self contained story, but if you guys want to check out the sequel let me know!

I thought 2 was a lot of fun and so was the first minions movie. I haven't seen any others.

I love all the DM movies and especially the minions, and there are 6 movies total so far, Despicable Me 4 came out last year, I haven't seen that one so I guess I don't know if that one is good, but I still love the minions😁
And someone mentioned the Madagascar movies, love those as well, but the third movie is the best, the Penguins are my favorite, they have their own tv show for like 3 seasons, and their own movie, but I guess it didn't do so well, I still liked it.
And if you ever want a really good old school animated movie, react to The Last Unicorn (1982), one of my childhood favorites.

I'll make this brief regarding the sequels, avoiding plot spoilers of course. I legitimately enjoy the first movie while I don't really care for the sequels and am of the opinion they get progressively worse.
Ultimately, I just don't feel the sequels have an emotional core like the first one does, that of Gru's connection to the girls and I think this is due in part to the explosion in popularity of the minions, especially among very young children, so going forward they overshadow the movie and the girls with their emotional connection to Gru just get more and more sidelined.
At best, the sequels have 'moments' that are mildly entertaining but I feel nothing watching them and have never felt a compulsion to watch them again, unlike the first movie. That's just my take of course.

Just for some context on the end credit scenes, the movie was originally available in theaters in a 3-D version, so they were playing with the 3-D effect by trying to get further "out" of the movie.

THIS IS JUST LIKE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! WELL, NOT EXACTLY. 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, the sequel movies are pretty good and reaction worthy. I particularly enjoyed Despicable Me 2 (2013). In my opinion it’s the best of the rest, but needs to be placed on the request site (hint, hint).
For more animated hilarity and some snappy writing you might check out Madagascar (2005) followed by Penguins of Madagascar (2014). They’ll keep you in stitches for sure. You might need to watch them more than once just to pick up on all the one-liners that are zipping by.
So... I will leave you with one of the more illustrious quotes from today’s presentation:
“I said DART gun!” So brilliant. 😁

I love the Despicable Me/Minions movies! They're so fun! I highly recommend you watch the Super Mario Bros movie after this movie series, it's also made by Illumination and it's so good! 😊

Yeah, all of these are very, very good. So much fun, such great performances and animation.
So good I have them all on DVD. Minion movie is meh, as is a spinoff named "The Rise of Gru" (maybe?)
But all four of the "Despicables" are amazing. A lot of fun, and yes... there is a LOT of room for the story to grow.
You will love them all. I know it.
Great job on this one. So fun to watch it with you!

One of our cats was the fluffiest thing ever when it was a kitten so we named it "Agnes." We later leaned it wasn't a girl, so now, when we go to the vet, they come out and ask for "Agnes, The Boy." That's his full government name.
