He's often mentioned with Halley's Comet because it arrived the year he was born (1835) and he said, quote "I came in with Halley's Comet...and I expect to go out with it. He actually did die the year the comet came back in 1910.

2024-11-20 21:29:54 +0000 UTCI never thought Barclay NEVER used a transporter before. He couldn't have avoided it 100%, but I think the fact that this was a weird, risky beaming situation pushed him too far and he just couldn't force himself to do it this time.

Fun, slightly tense reaction. ๐ These two Trek eps plays out of sync for me, which very rarely happens with your vids. Maybe 1 in 50 for myself. I'll need to find a media player that allows you to put in user defined playback speeds , so I can re-sync these rare occurrences. The strange thing is 'Time's Arrow Part 1' did play in sync. Curioser and curioser. I use VLC Player and that has only 4 preset playback speed adjustments with increments of 0.1. Apparently playback has to be set at a rate of = 0.9591 to be in sync. ๐๐

2024-11-19 06:45:19 +0000 UTCThere's plenty of other times.in TNG where people have radical feelings and the crew responds by helping them person to explore them rather than just dismissing them. It's well done in Realm with everyone accepting Barclay's claims and fears and attempting to learn more. Just shows then magic and compassion of the 24c that lacks today. Love your version of Picard's command coat.

HOWEVER, any insect or arachnid bigger than my pinky finger is not one that I actually would care to have ON me. I guess that episode should come with an arachnophobia warning. And yeah, props to Barclay for facing his fears big-time; that's no easy feat. Back when Barclay was freaking out though, and the others were reassuring him that transporters are very safe, I kept thinking of Spaceballs and paraphrasing a line from that. "Oh yes! Beaming is perfectly safe... I let Ensign Gomez beam me twice last week; it was amazing." ๐

Chronologically it begins this season after the 2-parter Chain of Command, and it's definitely worth all the hype, believe me. You'd be one of the few reactors to watch it, too, which would set you even further apart from the rest as someone to follow more than them and show that you're willing to explore shows and films that most others won't. That would make you stand out even more imo. In a very good way.

She would have discovered that in part 2, but people already told her. It's not a major spoiler, but Jen should have been alliowed to figure that out for herself.

Guinan: "His head." Geordi: "His mind. Of course." Guinan: "No, His head. I'm attracted to bald men." Geordi: "Seriously?" Guinan: "Seriously." Geordi: "Why?" Guinan: "Maybe because a bald man was very kind to me once when I was hurting. Took care of me." Or when Guinan was counseling Riker when Picard was captured by the Borg. Guinan: Did he ever tell you why we're so close? Riker: "No." Guinan: "Well, then let me just say our relationship is beyond friendship, beyond family. And I will let him go. "

I think that was why his character was created. People were saying that the crew were too perfect. It's like the reason Doctor Who has his "companions". People for the audience to connect to.
