This one was so great! Funny, charming, great accents and Joe Pesci was awesome! Marisa Tomei was very captivating as well, and I read afterwards she won an Oscar for this role?! I do find that surprising, even though I liked her a lot! I will be watching another Joe Pesci movie soon, so stay tuned!

I don't remember who Marisa Tomei was up against, but I do think her performance was amazing, but the real surprise that not only did she win, but that she was nominated at all, was that comedies rarely if ever get nominated for Academy Awards. I guess that has changed some since then, and has happened for smaller indie movies over the past 15 or 20 years, but it was pretty unheard of at the time, and still doesn't happen that often. Which was pretty remarkable when she did win.
