Arachnophobia (1990) Full Length Reaction

Yeah, that’s right… I’m bad!”

Ummm.... it's possible I was just a touch over-dramatic in this one LOL 🤣 Winner of last week's poll... I wasn't kidding when I said I hate spiders. Get ready for the drama!

Arachnophobia (1990) Full Length Reaction

Comments

Brave of you to do this, Jen. There are creatures I have phobias of and I would not watch a movie featuring them.

Brandon Williams

Jen, I grew up out in the country and can tell you that you get use to bugs and spiders. Back in the Carboniferous period, which is around 300 million years ago, spider grew to the size of dinner plates. They also had the largest bug ever, which was a giant centipede which measured around 2.6 meters tall or around 8 ft. To answer your question, you should definitely do Jurassic Park/Jurassic World, because the latest movie is the last official movie of the franchise

Peacock Spiders (a species of jumping spider) in particular not only jump around, but do extravagant dances to attract mates too - it's kinda hillarious when you dub them to music, e.g. https://youtu.be/xYIUFEQeh3g?si=pXuDEwHJ0bi-xzPb (and they look adorable).

Alexis

To answer the question you keep asking (I'm still watching), yes many types of spiders jump. And some of them do it spectacularly well. I'm surprised you haven't heard of the type of spider known specifically as Jumping Spiders, as they are also thought to be among the "cutest" type of spiders. Seriously, I'm not kidding, there are channels dedicated to people that raise them.

Great reaction. Yet you love Spiderman. 🕸💜

Jason Scade

Jen I am with you 100% when it comes to spiders.......no no no no NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .

Derek Big D Garcia

Update: I absolutely thought about spiders in my bed last night while falling asleep! 😱😱😱

Jen M

That was a lot of fun well for the viewers at least bless ya Jen for suffering your fear for your audience 🙌 your nervousness was clear throughout but you got through it , now I'm feeling ghost spider sensations everywhere 😱 eeek

Ian

You've seen a spider in your house as big as your palm??! Yikes! You should move here to New York City! The worst I've seen is one of those huge cockroaches that may come around during the humid Summer months, and that's even rare. Then there is the once in a blue moon centipede. The spiders here are too small to notice, those really tiny ones, the size of an ant. Well, you were brave enough to put this movie on a poll so BRAVO, Jen. Thanks for this! 👏👻🎃

When this movie came out, my girlfriend and I made the mistake of watching it at the drive in, sitting outside the car in lawn chairs. We knew it was about spiders, but neither of us expected it to effect us like it did. Half way thru the movie, we got back in the car but we could still feel bugs crawling all over us. :D

Well I thought you handled that very well Jen! It's kind of entertaining to watch you squirm - sorry!! I found myself getting itchy while watching it too =D

Mark McKeown

To answer Jen's first question: Both real and animatronics .

Mastervodo

Be sure to check the popcorn for spiders first!

Mastervodo

Watching this tomorrow with a big bowl of popcorn 🍿 that may not be a smart choice though lol anyway looking forward to this one so so much it's going to be screamtastic

Ian

Ironically, the spiders used in this movie are pretty harmless to humans. 😂

Chrissonator

Eight Legged Freaks is up next, right? :')

Mark McKeown

Luetin

Mark McKeown

Im getting my big bowl of popcorn ready!! 🍿 🕷 😆😆

Carlos Perez

Oh! Thanks for doing this movie. I remember seeing it when it first came out, but haven't done a rewatch yet. I'll be grabbing some snacks and synching for a watch shortly.

Michael Tuffin

Yeah I'm not watching this. lol. This movie actually gave me Arachnaphobia for real when my mum threw the green top bit of a tomato at me half-way through. In the dark. Thanks mum.

Chris Devlin

Perfect timing. Got my gummies, other assorted snacks and a big mug of tea.

Patrick

The itsy bitsy spider crawled up the waterspout...
