The World is Not Enough (1999) Full Length Reaction

There's no point in living if you can't feel alive.

James Bond #19! Loved the beautiful lady villain, the explosions, the music, and the lovely goodbye to our dear Q! Looking forward to the final Brosnan next time before we check out some Austin Powers. Also thinking I want to squeeze in original Casino Royale (now that I love Peter Sellers) and Never Say Never Again (lots of YT requests for it) before we jump into the Craig Bonds (plus quite a few channels are doing these right now), you guys on board?

Great reaction. I was happy they gave Q a great exit. I always looked forward to his interactions with 007 and his gadgets. He was a great actor. Also please dont skip any of the film's. Die Another Day actually has tons of easter eggs that are callbacks to each of the previous movies.

It's funny you say that because the first time I saw it I hated it and now I love it.

Beau Mont

Fun fact... Ian Fleming chose the name James Bond from the author of A Field Guide to Birds of the West Indies. Worth keeping in mind.

Andy Raffle

I only remember that one infamous scene where JB should be wearing a Fonzie jacket 😆

ArsTropica

It's definitely one of the weakest in many ways, but I'm really pleased that she is willing to watch every single one... like we did when they came out.

Andy Raffle

It definitely will be a tonal shift.

Thomas Yanez

You're either going to love Casino Royale or passionately hate it.

ArsTropica

Good job on these 3 Pierce Bronson Bond movies. Skip Die Another Day, it’s garbage. Now definitely move on to the Daniel Craig ones. You won’t regret it.

Joe M

Nah, this was definitely a planned retirement for Desmond - the scripting, and Cleese as the intended replacement. Sad as it was in the film, it was made even more poignant by his death shortly after. "Always have an escape plan."

Tim Christensen

The world is not Enough Motto line was said in On Her Majesty's Secret Service from The Bond Family Crest. Also Casino Royale 67 is used in Austin Powers music & gags also tv show Laugh In & NC-17 movie Beyond the Valley of the Dolls influenced Austin Powers.

Alberto Blanco

"Is that the lady from Braveheart?" Sophie Marceau - potentially the most insanely beautiful woman to ever walk this earth (and I'll have words with anyone who says different) ... And definitely the woman responsible for my weakness to villainous beautiful brunettes *sigh*

Tim Christensen

ist not that bad, its only noticable in more quiet scenes

That was lots of explosive fun. 💥💜 Glad you liked the Garbage theme song. The music video for that song is good, it's like a mini Bond film. I'll give you one of my signed Shirley Manson items since you're a fan, if you like. On board with all the suggestions in this post's heading. 👍

Jason Scade

I enjoyed this one, but I found a lot of aspects about it very weak. Overall though, I do enjoy this one. I don't know if they really planned on retiring Q after this movie, but the actor died in a car accident after this movie, so there was really no choice. Either way, his exit was a perfect ending for his character. RIP Desmond Llewelyn, the one and only true Q.

Sorry about that. I'm using it so my camera won't overheat-- I'll work on the sound

Jen M

"I love Garbage!" lol :) If u want a longer "series" to watch, maybe u could look towards some shows(GoT?) Also I think the "background fan" strikes again :(

Lean

Good Music and Move, plus a goodbye to Q. Outstanding commentary Miss Jenny, as always. You make seeing old films seem like the first time for all of us again. Thank you and your excellent crew.
