I think many would appreciate the classic cartoons (Bugs Bunny, etc.) rather than the decade specific ones as people who grew up in the 90s probably can't relate to cartoons from the 70s, and vice-versa. But I love the concept Jen! But seriously sugar-flavored cereals? Your dentist must love you!

This was great Jen! Glad to see you’re being very creative with your channel. I use to watch He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. That was my show. Yes, definitely continue with these Saturday morning shows. Watching you eat cereal brings out the kid in my almost 40 years.

Love the concept, but I'm afraid I was cartoon watching in the early 70's, Scooby-Doo was my "JAM", as the kids saw today.

Oh yes! I quite liked Inspector Gadget as a kid (Eastern US), but I had no idea it was already old/done by 1992.
Maybe the mustache went away after the pilot episode?

Wake up early to watch "Battle of the Planets" and "Star Blazers". Here in the US we also had "Schoolhouse Rock" during commercial breaks. If you haven't seen "Schoolhouse Rock" you're missing out!

I love this little treat from you Jen, so I was a child of the 70s in the UK so my version of Saturday mornings were from 8am to Midday TV (it was just the TV network back then so you didn't get to choose your cartoons) but yes bowl of cereal my favourite comics at TV, best time ever.
So I didn't get to watch to much inspector gadget but I did enjoy a show called INCH HIGH PRIVATE EYE cartoon and my favourites like The Jetsons and The Pink Panther (which I own on dvd)
I hope the powers to be don't block it great ideas as I'm up for it. Looking forward to next week's already

That was lots of nostalgic fun. Toons once a month or so would be fab. Probably my fave three tv cartoons I used to watch would be;
Dungeons & Dragons
Animaniacs
Spongebob Squarepants
Honorable mentions to;
Hong Kong Phooey (a crime fighting, masked kung-fu dog).
Scooby Doo
Tom & Jerry (classic era)
30:23 If you loved 'Inglourious Basterds' so much, I'm sure you'd also love 'Where Eagles Dare' (1969). An epic WWII action packed, secret mission into enemy territory film. 2hr 38min. Explosions galore, dead Nazis in the 100s, sexy dames, espionage, double crosses, mystery & suspense. Two mega stars in the lead roles and fab supporting cast.
If Bond had been active in WWII, he'd have been on this mission's team.
So happy you decided to start your own reaction channel. 💜
You're the best.

This video reminded me that I have good memories of watching the James Bond Jr cartoons in the 90s. I just checked as some kind person put up all 65 episodes on Youtube. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was probably my most loved show when I was younger, but right now I kind want to binge all of James Bond Jr - it has the best theme music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKgi7m5Ki5o

I was watching cartoons in the early 60's...The Flintstones, Bugs Bunny Show, Looney Tunes, Mighty Mouse, Speedy Gonzales, and many I cannot remember but would recognize if I saw them again. We only had two channels through the arial (Kitchener and London) and if the weather was good, Hamilton. I remember more getting off the school bus and rushing into the house for the 4:30 to 5:00 Big Al's Cartoon Capers and Ranch Party on the Kitchener tv station on Monday thru Friday. http://ckco-history.com/productions/big-al/

I don't remember if it was on Saturday mornings. But when I was a kid I remember watching "Jonny Quest" reruns. it was this adventure kids' cartoon from the 60s. It was freaking awesome!! I kinda want to look it up and see if it's still as cool as I thought it was when I was 8.

I like Rocky and Bullwinkle, Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, and Dudley Do-Right.. Inspector Gadget reminds me of Get Smart.. He sounds like Don Adams the star of Get Smart. He was a wacky spy with gadgets like shoe phones.

Jen, this was amazing. LOVED IT.
I used to watch Superfriends, Wonder Woman, Justice League and Spiderman. Those were my Saturday morning cartoons. Not sure when they used to show the Flintstones.
I lived outside of the USA and cereal is very expensive, we would only eat it as a treat. I think I used to eat Weetabix (crushed) and milk. It's similar to cereal but way cheaper. Some family members ate porage in the morning, but that was not my thing.

What a cool idea! Brings me back to watching my kid shows: Aah! Real Monsters, 2 Stupid Dogs, Jonny Quest, X-Men, Batman: The Animated Series, Top Cat, Doug, etc. My favorite cereal is also Lucky Charms or Grape Nuts. Looking forward to the next one!

I think this is a great idea, Jen! I love it! ❤️👍😊 It's so cozy and fun to have breakfast with you while watching a zany cartoon. It is so funny that I had prepared a bowl of cereal for breakfast right before I opened your email about watching Saturday morning cartoons with cereal. Oh, and feel free to do your nails, "and all that girly stuff," Jen. That would make it even more cozy and fun. 👍🤗

‘Morning!!! I grew up on Bugs Bunny so hard to connect with Gadget (a mishmash of Maxwell Smart and the Pink Panther?) …but I can connect with cereal nostalgia… and lovely thought to have breakfast with you… like you’re the host of your own Saturday morning program from childhood… Also, I need think up some Qs!

Voice actor Don Adams starred as Agent 86 Maxwell Smart in Mel Brooks TV 007 parody 'Get Smart'..looks like it might be fun to watch.

Bright Angel, Miss Jenny, you're so precious and beloved; everything you do seems like magic. Any man with such a beautiful, intelligent lady on his arm would be blessed to have a warm, witty woman share even a minute of his time. Thanks for the cartoons. I'm in my 70s and still love classic cartoons and cereal. Especially sharing them with a friend.

Haha awesome!! Was this inspired by Tommy Lee Jones' "Saturday Morning Cartoons" speech in Under Siege?? 😆 Saturday Morning Cartoons will always have a special place in my heart. I think its a tradition that has been lost throughout the years. I remember the days of renting a video game and staying up late Friday Night, going to bed. Waking up early on Saturday to watch cartoons and eat cereal. Which was your favorite cartoon and cereal combo?? Mine was Pink Panther/Froot Loops hahaha. 😁

I loved this new type of content! Quite wholesome. Keep doing these. I ate a home made breakfast bowl right some caffeine for that kickstart while watching this. Typical morning routine stuff, but usually catchup on some news (as toxic as the media is) and YouTubes. If I see that you posted a new reaction while I was sleeping, I'll likely watch that instead.
Inspector Gadget was absolutely apart of American kids culture. For me, the TV series usually aired daily after school. Used to watch this after school along with Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, and Transformers.
Saturday morning cartoons were usually Looney Tunes, Super Friends, Pac-Man, and just so many others.
We also had Sunday morning cartoons with Hannah Barbera.
On another note, it certainly does feel like you're more relaxed and able to enjoy films and shows. I thinks that helping everyone enjoy reactions further.
As for live video quality issues with poor connections or what have you, Ashleigh Burton does monthly live videos and also has had plenty of her fair share of technical issues, BUT that is part of the charm. It can be funny and everyone has a laugh. Using WiFi certainly can contribute to problems with live stream quality and connection drops. When live streaming, make sure to use an ethernet connection to your router instead.
Question for a future Q&A: Other than Popcorn in Bed and Cinebinge, do you watch other reactors? How do you watch them yet not spoil a movie for your own reaction content? :)

Adorable. Hehe. We had(have) Inspector Gadget in EU as well. My favorite cartoon as kid was HE-MAN. I still love the theme song and the opening sequence :)
Quesetin for next time...
When do you record your reactions? I asume you have a "real" job. Do you record after work, or just on the weekends? Maybe a rundown of your recording/editing proccess. :)

Hi Jen, for Saturday Mornings in the U.K. in the late `60`s we had the U.S. program (The Banana Splits) which had a cartoon segment in it. Alternately into the `70`s, their was (H.R. Pufnstuff), which was another live-action kids show rather than cartoon.

Hi Jen, not particularly a Saturday Morning Cartoon, TBH it`s so long ago, I can`t remember what time it was shown. But a similar cartoon for me in the `60`s was (Secret Squirrel). Later in the mid-`70`s, I caught the kid`s cartoon (Hong Kong Phooey) & in the `80`s when I could (Danger Mouse).
The actor voicing Inspector Gadget was a favourite of mine in the `60`s in a Spy parody, I now know was created by Mel Brooks. (It was full of Gadgets. e.g. (The Cone Of Silence) for secret discussions with the Chief.

I agree that you will love Jonny Quest. The original show from the '60s. It has everything that you love ,adventure, action, danger, spies, evil villians, heros, the works.

This was a great way to spend some time before going to work. I enjoyed alot of the cartoons mentioned by others. Being British I would watch the animals of farthing wood, count duckula and danger mouse. Loved batman the animated series, 90s spiderman cartoon. Peter pan and the pirates was very good. I would enjoy going down memory lane of cartoons but I need to get myself to work.

I watched that show back in the `60`s & I recognised his voice here, I loved the opening & closing credits which were very funny on their own. Of course no surprise, it was created by Mel Brooks, whose films I have enjoyed in later life.

Just to elaborate on a previous comment, you would probably enjoy the “Pink Panther” series (Peter Sellers), where he plays a bumbling detective. In the first movie, Sellers was a secondary character who completely stole the show, resulting in a whole series of movies about his character.
Those movies were made by Blake Edwards, who was Julie Andrews’ husband. He made a couple of great movies with Andrews (“Victor/Victoria” and “S.O.B”).

Along with the Bond and "Mission Impossible" references, if you ever get around to watching the Pink Panther movies (as we suggested after you discovered Peter Sellers), you'll see another of the show's inspirations... In fact, the reason they removed Gadget's mustache after the pilot episode, was because MGM wrote them a letter suggesting that Gadget looked a little bit too much like the character Sellers portrays in the film series: Inspector Clouseau.

I used to watch Inspector Gadget as well, among others.
Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds, Ulysses, Mask, Jason and the wheeled warriors, He-man, Visionaries, Transformers, Cites of Gold, Around the world with Willy Fog, Teenage Mutant Ninja (hero) Turtles, G-Force, Thundercats, Ewoks, The Racoons, Gummi Bears, Muppet Babies, Rugats.....
Whoa, that was an incredible nostalgic trip. 🤣

The character was voiced by Don Adams. His most famous role, arguably, was the lead on a mid-to-late '60s sitcom that ran for five seasons called "Get Smart" where he played an inept secret agent with silly gadgets. You might like it.

Well, that was freaking adorable. You can do this again whenever you want.
I definitely put in my time with a bowl of cereal (Cap'n Crunch), in my pajamas, watching those Saturday morning cartoons. For me, it would have been the classic Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera, with some mid-70's superhero shows and a few badly dubbed Japanese imports thrown in, and then a good monster movie or two. I still love watching those classic Godzilla and off-brand (Gamera!) kaiju movies.

You have an Australian patron as well Jen! I can't speak for anyone else because down under I feel like there's more variety in what people eat, I ate Weetbix as a kid and wasn't really allowed to watch TV while eating!
I am really enjoying "the new Jen" with your more childlike reactions, I'm glad that you've sorted out the tech issues and you feel more free to enjoy, so that we can too! :D
Inspector Gadget was a childhood favourite of mine as well! I've never seen the pilot episode, but clearly they made a ton of changes - they got rid of Gadget's moustache, they changed Penny's voiceover artist, and made Gadget even dumber XD I watched tons of other 80s cartoons like Astroboy, Battle of the Planets and Ulysses 31 as well.
My morning is a cup of coffee and eggs for breakfast, fried or scrambled. And maybe some YouTube indulgence after!
