Welp, I didn't see that coming! Crazy ending, I'm still processing it. Geena Davis + Susan Sarandon were sooo good, loved their friendship in this. This movie deals with a lot of sensitive issues and you will see me have a small breakdown at one point and I didn't edit down my outro as much as usual so you will see how hard it was for me to find words for some things. What do you guys think about that ending?

This reaction is a perfect example of why Jen is the best movie reactor - bar none - on the internet. Jen is always real and does not try to hide her feelings. Stay strong Jen. You make a difference to so many of us.

Great reaction Jen, and please know you don’t have to apologize for having such a visceral reaction. Anyone who doesn’t get upset over an assault is someone I don’t want to know. This is one of those movies that can be really tough to digest but should really be on the mandatory watching list.
Second the suggestions to watch Bull Durham, you’d like it.

It's very difficult to explain how beautiful certain movies were in person on film when they were in theatres... Blade Runner & Barry Lyndon & Legend from 1985/1986 was amazing...The Duellists out of control..Thelma & Louise beautiful..doesn't translate in digital medium ..1492 Conquest of Paradise was scarily beautiful at the time..(soundtrack by Vangelis is crazy amazing and eclectic).. Also there were alot of flicks at the time that had terrible trailers this was one of them. I would go see anything by Ridley Scott in the 80's & 90's cuz I was guaranteed a beautiful looking movie..like Someone to Watch over Me or Black Rain..they sold this one like a cheesy "Smokey & The Bandit" (excellent by the way) type action comedy..and I went for irony purposes expecting garbage and was shocked emotionally with it.

The ending was abrupt but there was a reason for that..an alternative ending was shot..where they go off and then go off into the sunset.but test audiences didn't get it. It really is sort of like the end to Butch Cassidy & the Sundance kid. Great flick.

Enjoyed your reaction, too, Jen. I know the subject matter is truly tough. You're right, we all know someone who was attacked or they themselves were. These two women were in a kose-lose senario and shows what happens when someone has just had enough of being treated so poorly and with flippant disregard.

Dead Man Walking is probably Susan Sarandon's greatest performance.

Powerful film, it has such a tragic ending. I hadn't seen this in many years, forgot how dark some of it was. Great reaction. *hug* 💜
Thelma & Louise has something of a 'True Romance' (1993) feel to it, I think. The films are only 2 years apart and each are directed by a different Scott brother. Brad Pitt appears in both coincidentally.

Jen, you're outro was absolutely fantastic and your emotions are spot-on 10000%. Yes, back in 1991 this flick made 12-year-old me spit out my McPizza;) This was not the film I or my older bro who rented it thought it was going to be lol. ;) Absolutely great reaction as always. Great performances in this film, and while Susan and Geena were great, and some guy named Brad makes an appearance, Harvey Keitel was so good, really seemed to be trying to help the ladies out as much as possible. PS: You ROCK and we're always here for you! 😍🥰
