There's a definite tone shift between the silo scene and the rest of the movie due to it being a scene the original director shot. He got canned for some reason, I don't know why. I watch this movie from time to time to re-live growing up during the Cold War 80s and how we survived. I watch The Day After and Threads from time to time to be thankful that we did. My friends and I lived about 25 miles from Atlanta at the time. We all hoped it was close enough to not survive the initial attack if it ever happened.
