I feel like Soderbergh pulled a fast one on me! I've decided to call this an anti-heist movie lol but I still enjoyed all the beautiful people, amazing music + 2000's style.

L'Appuntemento (Ornello Vanoni), played in the opening scene w/ Rusty and Elizabeth and again when Rusty reunites her with her father, is my favorite song in here. It is an Italian adaptation of a Brazilian song and was a big hit in Europe in 1970. It tells the story of the despair and hopelessness of a woman waiting for her lover. I like all three of the movies, and you're right that there is no central heist here (it is all shown in flashbacks), but it is still my favorite of the three, partly because of the soundtrack but mostly it has IMHO more beautiful cinematography. Also, I like the European setting better than Las Vegas. and I'm still looking forward to Thirteen.
