Men in Black (1997) Full Length Reaction

I make this look good.

This one was sooooo much fun!! 90's Tommy Lee Jones + Will Smith kicked alien butt and were a hilarious duo! I had so much fun watching this one!! I know there are more MiB movies, is it same cast + are they any good?

Special appearance by one of my new kitties: Banjo! 🥰🐱

Thanks for watching with me! 😊

⭐ Special thanks to Producers: MattN, Todd Preble, CBonius, Ed Dunn, Incognito, John Walters, JT, Noby, SwimintheRain + those who wish to remain uncredited :)

Men in Black (1997) Full Length Reaction

Comments

Wasn't that tall guy in the restaurant Mr. Hawn that is Mrs. Troi's valet from ST:TNG?

Except "Judge Dredd" (1995) and "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (1986) weren't intentionally made as comedies. They were supposed to be serious movies with a couple of light-hearted moments.

Great sci-fi comedies THE ADAM PROJECT (2022) BRAZIL (1985) COCOON (1985) DEMOLITION MAN (1993) EXPLORERS (1985) FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR (1986) GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE (2021) INNERSPACE (1987) JUDGE DREDD (1995) READY PLAYER ONE (2018) STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME (1986) TIME AFTER TIME (1979) WEIRD SCIENCE (1985)

I enjoyed every second of that, it was such a fun reaction. Thanks, Jen. The "known aliens" visible on the screen include Al Roker, Isaac Mizrahi, Danny DeVito, MiB director Barry Sonnenfeld, Chloe Sonnenfeld (Barry's daughter), Sylvester Stallone, Dionne Warwick, Newt Gingrich, Anthony Robbins, George Lucas, and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Tommy Lee Jones stars in U.S. Marshals (1998), which is the sequel to The Fugitive, in which Tommy Lee reprises his role as Marshal Samuel Gerard. I loved the Special Guest Appearance by Banjo.

Lee Pitman

I have not Lee. Even more reason to add that one to the list as well Jen. 😁

Daryl

Hi Daryl. Have you seen John Carpenter's Dark Star (1974)? It may not be the best sci-fi comedy but it's worth watching (in my humble opinion).

Lee Pitman

You know, I don't think there is actually enough science fiction comedies. Certainly not a lot come to mind straight away that is. A quick search later... •Mars Attacks (As Matt mentioned) •Inner Space •Evolution •Paul The actor that MiB and Galaxy Quest has in common is Tony Shalhoub, albeit he has more of a bit part in this one. Tommy Lee, is often more of a supporting actor than main lead. He is prominent in a number of films. A few where he is more centre stage. •Double Jeopardy •US Marshals •The Client •Volcano Great as always 👌

Daryl

I actually watched Casablanca on DVD just a few weeks ago. It was my first time watching it. It's really good. A Jen reaction would be awesome.

Lee Pitman

He is a brilliant composer. I actually forgot he did the score for Mars Attacks! I have not seen Alice in Wonderland yet but intend to.

Lee Pitman

Also Kitten debut!! Yay!!!

MattN

After John Williams, Danny Elfman is my favorite composer! It started because of the Batman soundtrack but definitely grew from there. Danny Elfman has a great way of using low strings, brass, women choir, and bells\windchimes that give a creepy yet psychedelic vibe that perfectly matches Tim Burton's style. I know this isn't a Tim Burton film but Alice in Wonderland, Beetlejuice, Batman, Mars Attacks!... all were elevated\complimented perfectly because of Danny Elfman's score! I love him!

MattN

Casablanca…Yes, please!

Daniel Goldberg

As long as we're talking classics, one movie you might not remember Rip Torn from is the 1965 gambler's classic The Cincinnati Kid. Just in case, you know, if there's maybe, sorta, in some way, *cough cough,* I dunno, possibly, maybe, if there's an opening in the future, hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink...

Always a great watch! The second and third ones are both pretty good too. The fourth doesn't use the same cast, it's actually Thor Lite because it stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. If you like early Will Smith I highly recommend the Bad Boys franchise. Smith and Martin Lawrence, very entertaining. The first movie is solid but the second one is really good. And yes, you definitely need to watch Casablanca. One of the best films of all time and arguably the best romance of all time.

Paul G

2 & 3 uses mostly the same cast, then there's at least 1 "straight to dvd" spinoff that I can think of that doesn't. 2 was ok but not as good as 1, in my opinion anyway. I don't think I've seen the others.

Absolute0

😂

Jen M

Awesome! Such a classic movie where Will Smith only smacks aliens.
