Hey guys! I hope you're having a lovely day! 🌞 I'm just looking to learn and improve things here so I'm wondering: what keeps you subscribed to my Patreon?

Thanks John! I appreciate you being here!

Thanks John!

Jen, with a whole 4 days of patronage under my belt, I can't really comment on what keeps me subscribed to your Patreon, but I am happy to comment on why I joined in the first place. I absolutely love reactors who are genuine in their reactions, thoughtful in their comments, and unafraid to show their emotions. I am happy to show my support. Keep being you! You're a star!! ⭐

John Courtright

Full Lengths are the bread and butta, but all of your efforts for your Patrons are noticed and appreciated.

Tom Evans

I second this.

Todd Preble

What keeps me subscribed to your Patreon group, Jen, is your level of involvement with your Patrons and your obvious dedication to producing good content for your fans here and on Youtube. Whether it's little things like adding fun graphics to your Guess the Views contest results or bigger (and more expensive) things like getting Gina Torres and Jewel Staite to give their perspective on Serenity and appending their videos to your reaction, you consistently go above and beyond. You care about your channel and the people who pay to be here, and it shows. Oh, and also Boston.

John Walters

Enjoy the interaction.

Mike Brodeur

Personally: 1. Influencing/contributing to the polls 2. Engaging in conversation/friendly debate 3. Last, but definitely not least, supporting the channel because you're doing something different- the guess the views contests, the awards(MVP, the worst), even the cosplaying occasionally

The vimeo download option is a thoughtful touch, my crappy laptop + crappy internet can't handle streaming two things at the same time!

Your great personality

sometimes other rectors will have a 1/8 size slice of the playable frame so you can visually reference where Jen is with the reaction. I have seen this on Diegesis. They'll have a small box of the frame at the bottom of Jen's reaction so you can see where the movie is visually.

Came for the Firefly, stuck around because it felt like I've got more of a chance here of getting one of the few movies or TV shows that I enjoy through on to your watch list. It may happen at some point you're not doing any of the ones I'm interested in, in which case I'll probably dip for a month or two and then check back in.

I feel your pain. It's frustrating as hell some times. I'm in the UK so yeah some of our stuff runs at a slower speed, so I do know dude. Especially when I've subbed for Doctor Who. One yt dude I know, Shout out Peshawari Affan! He's a mathematician. I gave him feedback and episode lengths and after some back and forth over about 4 reactions he was able to tailor a version for BBC iplayer for the early series, as he uses HBO Max. That dude had some serious commitment. That's what kept me subbed their honestly, while we are on the subject. 😁

My copy runs on my TV via streaming service or from my own blu-ray (I'm in Europe) and I watch reaction on my laptop. Haven't had this issue with any other reactors and I watch far too many of them. I tried to alter the playback speed as you're suggesting but it didn't help really.

David Lengyel

Are you ahead of behind? What were using to play back the reaction? Were you using the same screen for reaction and footage? Did you try slowing down or speeding up the reaction footage to keep pace? I've had this issue before from other channels. If it's a frame rate 25 / 30 issue then I've found that playing the footage at -0.04 or +0.04 helps a great deal and requires far less resyncing. Sorry if all of that was redundant.

Daryl

That's why I mentioned it, I've tried everything because I badly wanted to see Jen's reaction to True Detective. No joy πŸ₯Ή

David Lengyel

I've found this with several Reactors/Movies over the years. Sometimes changing where you watch it from helps. For example watching from Amazon Prime might need resyncing regularly but via Disney+ it syncs perfectly.

BHillzebub

I appreciate the effort, but it's rather an fps issue. It was in sync in the start, but out of sync in 3 minutes. I've synced again only to find myself out if sync in 3 minutes all over again. Idk what caused it because I don't face this issue with other reactors. I even tried several physical copies, streaming... all to no avail. So I gave up and I watch only YouTube edits πŸ₯²

David Lengyel

I'm sorry to hear that! Would it be helpful if I add a running timeclock?

Jen M

It was full lengths, but I was unable to sync my copy with the reaction on several occasions so it's just polls and updates now. I'd love to watch along, but it's been an issue in the past...
