Ok here it is, the pilot episode of True Detective. I was expecting a crime drama with some stellar performances and I was not disappointed.
Loved the chemistry between Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey as Hart and Cohle and I especially liked Chole's character. I think both are potentially hiding something... The stark difference in the two interviews in the present makes me think Cohle is a suspect... Very disturbing crimes and I'm hoping there won't be more gruesome killings but I have a feeling there will be... I'm intrigued by the mystery though... episode 2 coming soon!

Thanks for the reaction. My grandfather grew sugar can in SE Texas near the Lousiana border, about an hour away from Lake Charles.

2022-01-14 23:49:45 +0000 UTCThis is one of the few shows where each episode is so well done, you don't know how the next episode can top it. And yet, it will. It also feels like so much happens, it's so rich and textured. I'm constantly amazed that it's only 8 episodes, none of it feels like filler. It will become increasingly harder not to binge it :D
