Movie Watcher Reads Harry Potter For the First Time! - Goblet of Fire Chapters 20 & 21!

Here we go, guys!! Another very close to 6 HOURS review! I SWEAR I was trying to keep it brief, but there was SO much to talk about in this one!

2 EXCELLENT chapters! We have a lot to talk about when it comes to Movie comparisons, but I will defend some of the choices made (to an extend).

And we have the return... of two lil characters! I am so happy! XD And we get a whole lot more info about the situation with house elves! LOVED reading your thoughts on this!

Fact is... Percy gave Harry the advice he needed LONG ago. And yet he gets no respect (though slightly more respect than Hermione gets XD).

Love you, guys! I really hope you enjoy this episode! And as always, thank you all for taking part in the Book Club!

When Harry ambushed Cedric in the corridor to tell him about the dragons, Cedric was on his way to class, so all the students around him probably were members of his own House and year. However, we know his girlfriend is a Ravenclaw one year behind him, implying that his social circle is not just Hufflepuffs. At the Battle of Bunker Hill in the American Revolution, it is said that the colonial fighters were low on ammunition, so to make every shot count, they were told, "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes." Neville's birthday is July 30, Harry's is July 31, and it's possible that Seamus also had a birthday in July (I can't find any clues to his birthday at all). No one else in that Divination class was born in July. Lavender, Parvati, and Dean were all born sometime between September 1 and April 21; Hermione was born in September; and Ron and Professor Trelawney were both born in March. I am now in almost total agreement with you about House-Elves. There is of course more to be learned about them (particularly about Winky), but nothing that I think should change your opinion on the subject. I read a fanfiction once where Ron gifted Winky to his mother for Christmas, with Winky's enthusiastic agreement. That strikes me as a great way to help both of them - to take some of the load off Molly (at least in the summers when her house is full of people) and to give back Winky's self-respect by allowing her to be bonded to a family again, which seems to be what she wants more than anything. The Weasleys might struggle to pay even as much as a galleon a week, but Dobby seems perfectly happy working at Hogwarts, and Winky doesn't want to be paid, so that wouldn't be a problem. I wish some such solution were canon. The eggs were the color of concrete, but they were real eggs.

I loved the minutes where you spoke about autism/social anxiety/social events etc. I have an autistic friend (and one who I'm certain is autistic!), and it's really helpful to hear about this even though every autistic person of course isn't the same. I think you're really good at describing this sort of thing! (I have bought Fern Brady's book as well, and I'm really looking forward to read it. I've heard it's really good.)
