So the twist of the last two episodes have been 'it's just a coin'. XD
Good episode! It feels like the only real progression was the very brief Dawn and Joyce scene (which scared the hell out of me XD), but it was great to get more development between Riley and Buffy.

Riley... I kinda get what he is thinking, but he IS an idiot (IMO).
The surgeon may be the MVP of this episode! Genius!! XD
That last scene 100% GOT ME! XD I wonder if I was the only one?

Hiya Veggie, This episode showcases very well why I'm a fan of Season 4 Riley, but less so of Season 5 Riley. What, suddenly he's all insecure because Buffy won't actually say the words "I love you"? Are we really supposed to believe he's that shallow? That he hasn't known her for over a year now? Who is he so in love with if he doesn't know her better than that? And, honestly, how dare he lay all of that at Buffy's door. Like, if only she did this, he'd be alright. It's either where he wants to be or it isn't. That choice has nothing to do with her. Great reaction as always. I loved your reaction to Spike's dream. And I share your love of Harmony. She's really special, isn't she? I can't wait to see your reaction to what's coming. At some point, though, we're gonna get nearer to the episode you've already seen. How much of a warning do you want to have on that? Because the comments on here usually respect your desire to avoid spoilers. But, if you want to avoid that episode, we're gonna have to spoil you at some point. That's up to you, of course. 2024-05-17 23:37:26 +0000 UTCNote that when Buffy finds Riley in the Initiative cave, Buffy tells Riley, "I need you.", rather than "I love you!". Much of BtVS fandom insist that Riley is Toxic Masculinity personified, but he's just a man who is head-over-heels in love with a woman who won't say that she loves him. That is the root of the Ruffy problem.
