*Oh! Just to be clear, just like the rest of Buffy, the footage IS included in this video, despite it being a movie (I also do the count ins, but that is more for me when editing XD*

####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######

------

Ok, hear me out... I was really enjoying the movie... but it got just SO dumb at the end. XD  Very glad I checked it out!  A couple of surprising faces show up!  Very cool to hear the different lore and 'rules' in this compared to the series!

Oh! Btw, (if anyone is reading this), to anyone that watches other Youtubers reaction to Buffy, what websites do they upload their full length videos to (specifically ones that include the footage and audio)?

I hope you are having a great weekend, guys!  NOW on to Season 3!!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

P.S - I muddle up Dodgeball with Baseketball, sorry. ._.

Buffy Fridays (on a Saturday)! The Movie First Time Reaction!

I love you Veggie but the is not enough money or love in the world that could make me watch this "movie" again :)

I'd recommend reading the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Origin comic. It basically rewrites the movie to fit with the show and follows the original script more closely, so Buffy is younger and actually burns down the gym. New patron! Loving your reactions!

I'm a Buyer (Purchasing Agent). When I first heard of the job opening many years ago I immediately thought about this movie. It's the reason I took the job! I'm quite fond of the movie. It's ridiculous, yes. But entertaining. I just look at it completely separately from the series.

I watched this once when it came out. I wasn't impressed then and I've never had the desire to rewatch because it is so inferior to the series.

Whedon's view on the film: "It didn't turn out to be the movie that I had written. Not that the movie is without merit, but I just watched a lot of stupid wannabe-star behavior and a director with a different vision than mine."  He also disliked Sutherland improvising his lines, calling him a "prick" 😂

I got the Dad's Army reference! Slightly disappointed you didn't watch the whole movie in German though 😂 You made a joke about Foz appearing in this- well Seth Green does appear, very briefly! He's a redhead vampire who Buffy kicks 😂 Just so you know- it's not made clear on screen, but the Watcher who appears in the Becoming flashback is Merrick- the canonical Merrick (featuring in comics) follows the original script much more closely. And the gym burns down, of course XD

Jake M

Well, this certainly was an experience. 🙈😂 Also it took me way to long to realize that Merrick's actor also played president Snow in the Hunger Games (I swear half of the movie I was busy thinking about from where I knew that face😂).

I enjoyed that sooooo much!!!!! Even dropped a few tears of joy seeing you finally watch it and how you were enjoying it so much. :) Didn't realize Ben was in the movie, that was a huge surprise you noticed. I really hope some version of this makes it to youtube, even if its just a 10-15 minutes overview/comparison to the shows first episode and how the stories start. Favorite character and all those goodies you throw into the show would be nice to hear aswell. Cheers budddy!

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember there was a whole lot of issues behind the production. Joss Whedon came up with the idea originally (tired of seeing the blonde girl in the horror movie always die, he had a vision of her getting cornered and then kicking the monster's butt instead), and then the final product wasn't at all what he wanted. I think Donald Sutherland was a pain to work with and kept re-rewriting his script and yeah... it was a disappointment. I does give us a lot of Buffy's backstory and I think it's canon since they reference a lot of it in the series. But Joss Whedon finally got to make what he wanted when he made the tv show. It's stake through the heart on the show as well. Don't we see Buffy missing the heart at one point? I think in the flashback of the season 2 finale when she stakes her first vampire?

This is how much I like you, Veggie. I watched that whole thing. The only part I enjoyed was your reaction. :P The campiness got to be too much at the end for you. It was too much for me from the start. LOL And I am Freddie. You were wondering on the Harry Potter book club. Also, I am a massive fan of Much Ado About Nothing.
