Whether they are how you accessorize your outfit, or they are a piece of a set of armor, gloves and gauntlets can be imbued with magical power you may find helpful throughout your campaign. When I think about these items, my mind immediately goes to a rogue slipping on a pair of black leather gloves before pulling a job or plate mail gauntlets that extend up to the wearer's elbow. They are no means limited to that, as you have to look no further than Full Metal Alchemist and the flame-producing white gloves worn by Roy Mustang to realize gloves can be useful for characters of all types.
Gloves of Dexterous Ability - Ok, so we start with a pair of gloves perfect for a rogue. I did warn you it was the first thing I thought about.
Gloves of the Fist - Punch stuff...hard.
Proficiency Gauntlets - Great for those characters that have limited options with the types of items than can use to bash in their enemy's heads.
Razor Claws - I may have dreamed of being wolverine a few times, but they are actually inspired by the claw attachment from Enter the Dragon's bad guy. I watched that movie a thousand times in my youth, and now I'm thinking I should watch it again soon.
Roguish Gloves - Yeah, yeah, I know; more rogue gloves
Spidersilk Glove - Be Spiderman without having to get bit by a spider. Spiders in D&D may not be radioactive, but they can also be as big as a house.
Gauntlets of Divine Favor - These are a re-skin of The Gauntlets of the Valorous from The Ruins of Myth Drannor ( and also found in the Encyclopedia Magica Volume 2). They aren't as powerful, but I always like items that randomly change in power every day. It adds a little spice to the item, and all of these powers are highly beneficial, so you don't have to worry about only producing a swarm of butterflies in a 10-foot radius that blind you.
