Magma Dragon & Drake [Monster Thursday]

This week's Monster Thursday is focused on some fearsome dragons that exist outside the metallic/chromatic lineages. Those two lineages get all the fame and fortune, constantly talked about and loved... there are dozens of other dragons out there just waiting to be touched on and loved, crafted into horrifying villains and grateful quest givers. This group of dragons are probably residing in the first category, but could start out as the quest givers... unfortunately, their paranoia will get the best of them.
The Magma Dragons are short-tempered, see insults in everyone's words, and hold grudges better than pretty much everyone else. They eye creatures with suspicion, yearning to know what exactly they are talking about and why they are plotting against the poor Magma Dragon.
In addition to the Magma Dragon, I've also included the Magma Drake which is a smaller CR (CR 7) as opposed to the CR 3 (Wyrmling), CR 9 (Young), CR 16 (Adult), and CR 23 (Ancient) of the Magma Dragon. I'm a fan of drakes, smaller dragons that are only interested in eating adventurers are perfect in my book.
