March 27 - Good Onion
Added 2024-03-28 14:00:09 +0000 UTCI'm trying some new things on stream over the next few months and this week is the first one. I'm pulling from the #stream-submissions channel in Discord to find something to sample and/or make a song out of. Meme streams - or something like that, haha.
Here's what I started with: Onion video
And it turned into the song you hear above. The concept is ridiculous, but it was a fun challenge and I'm surprised at how well I was able to make it work. Slap house with formant vocals worked great and there's even a gated "onion" percussion layer in the background.
What you think of this type of content?
To me, it seems like something I could use for YouTube or Insta/TikTok/Shorts-type content, which could help grow the Patreon/streams and is something I really lack at the moment. This wouldn't replace WIP content but could maybe be a fun addition. And you can get involved by submitting meme content for new streams in the #stream-submissions channel over on Discord.
