New Release - The Ground Beneath You EP

This year I wanted to do something a bit different. The Ground Beneath You is both the song I wrote this year for Love Tropics, and a 5-song EP that includes all the Love Tropics songs I've written since the beginning. Some of these songs are already included on releases, but together they really encapsulate the mission of Love Tropics. Having them together as an EP takes you on that journey and tells a much better story than 1 song could alone.

About the Charity:

Love Tropics supports a different charity every year. For 2023, it's Sustainable Harvest International (SHI), an environmental non-profit organization, preserving the environment by partnering with families to improve well-being through sustainable, regenerative farming. All donations via the Love Tropics charity event this weekend and all proceeds from this EP will go to support their efforts in Santa Martha, Belize!

About the song:

Each year, I write a new song around the mission of the supported charity. The main themes this year are conservation, growth, and sustainability. I started there, but as i wrote ideas it became something more. In order to grow and sustain, you have to cultivate and nurture what you have. The last few years have been particularly tough for everyone in some way or another and during stressful times it's easy to forget and neglect what you have. Growth and sustainability will come, but it starts with the ground beneath you.
