Patreon in 2023

I hope you had a great holiday and the new year is treating you well!

Because of your support in 2022, I was able to release 13 free songs, a 7 song DnB EP, and a followup album to Blocking the Sky!

I hope to keep that momentum going and I want to share my goals for Patreon - this year and beyond. Things are certainly subject to change, but I’m listing updates with a bit of context at the end of this post.

My goal is to make Patreon the main focal point of what I’m doing. While the reality of “the industry” still exists, Patreon is a large part of why I’m able to continue doing this. I want to make music I love so that it can be music you love. The more support I receive on Patreon, the more that becomes a reality.

So thank you - for listening to my music and for supporting me.

Take care and I’ll see you on stream!

- Andrew

UPDATES, GOALS, & OVERALL THOUGHTS:

--------------------------------------------------

Merch Updates
The water bottles for Fall/Winter 2022 are currently in production. I have to ship these out on my own and I'm hoping to start shipping to you by the end of January.

For Spring 2023 merch - I’ll be reaching out in the coming weeks for feedback & ideas on what item we can do for the Spring so we can get this going and have items shipped out in a timely manner.

--------------------------------------------------

Polls and Votes in 2023
I’ve written a lot of ideas over the last couple of years and a big goal of mine is to finish as many projects in the 1st half of 2023 that I can. For now, I’ll be posting polls on which song you want me to finish instead of which songs you want me to write. Vote for January here!

--------------------------------------------------

YouTube & Remixes - "If you can't beat em, join em"
Remixes are one of the main things that’s brought new people to my YouTube channel, so this year I’m going to be doing more regular remixes starting in February.

--------------------------------------------------

Livestreams - It's Time for a Change
Production streams are a cool insight into my writing process, a nice chill vibe, and a good use of my time since I have a new song idea I could eventually release. For now, those will continue every Wednesday on Twitch.

I’ve been experimenting with some new live ideas and I need some time to iron out the kinks. I’d like to try out these ideas over the next few months but for now, it will mean that Friday streams won’t be every week and there will be some trial runs on stream.

--------------------------------------------------

Patreon Goals for 2023 / More Vocal Songs
I'm already working on a few more vocal songs, but I’ll need more support to sustain continued vocal projects long term. If I can get to $2,000/month here on Patreon it will mean I can fund 1 vocal project every month in addition to all the other benefits.

--------------------------------------------------

Song Releases Moving Forward - 2 songs every month
I’m aiming for a 2 song/month release schedule starting in February. At least one of those will be free for everyone.

Top-Tier Patrons can expect a renewed focus on finished demos with the first one coming in the next few weeks.

Comments

Thanks! Yeah I have some thoughts for "collecting" releases (both free and Spotify), but I'm not really sure which direction to take. Bandcamp could be a great way to have a soft release without committing to a full-fledged album or EP that requires Marketing and all the other stuff.

Seems like an exciting year ahead, Andrew! As someone who greatly prefers EPs and albums over individual singles, it is sad that there are currently 26 tracks of yours released that haven't made it into any type of collection. Any chance that you may work with those track to compile them into a coherent album on Bandcamp?
