Weekly Update #7

Hey everyone!

This week I've got 2 updated WIPs and a finished vocal track preview to show you!

• 0:00 - Run Free: This is the other track you voted for me to finish from my March works-in-progress. Quite a bit has changed and I am very happy with how this turned out. It still needs a proper mix/master, but I'm already working together with a vocalist on this one.
• 3:45 - Reach/Circle Back/Pack It Up: This is a Liquid DnB track I've been working off and on since January. The Executive Producers helped me find a direction during the feedback stream last month and this is the result. I'm really happy with it and I already have lyrics written for the 2nd half. Overall, this song is about contrasting 2 very different times in my life - I used to vacation with my family in South Carolina as a kid and have very found memories of that (1st half). And really - until last year when I moved to Colorado, I never felt like I'd belonged anywhere, so the 2nd verse touches on that and plays off the idea of why I moved to Colorado - circling back to a time when I felt like I had a place to belong. I still need to clean up the mix and re-record all the vocals (or decide to get someone else to sing haha), but other than that it's basically done!
• 7:23 - Unleash Me: This is another track I worked together with Alex Holmes on. We started work on this back when we were writing Darkness Comes and we're currently prepping it for release. It'll be out this summer (June/July?) and this is one of my favorite tracks I've worked on in the last year. I absolutely love what Alex did with the vocal on this and I can't wait to show you the whole thing once release plans are finalized :)

Curious to hear your thoughts on these! This year, I'm approaching (hah) each song I write from more of a songwriting perspective and I think it's really helping my music feel more cohesive. And the last couple of months Patreon (that's all of you!) has been a huge help in keeping me focused on a clear vision for each song.

Next week I'll have another vocal song preview to show you, I'll be posting WIP downloads, and it will be the April vote for which WIPs to pursue in May/June!
