I don’t know about profound☺️, but I’m very happy I was able to get across what I meant, and you agree lol Naruto is a gem for tackling so many issues, and making us connect and sympathize with characters experiencing so many different things. Some that we’ve gone through, but many that we haven’t. Not an easy task, no wonder it’s been so timeless😌

And you're right. In the modern world where you have child soldiers, cults misusing children, child trafficking etc....these are real world issues. And rarely do you have medium that tackle these issues in the way Naruto does it. It truly is special.

It’s taking the sad real life parts of people we’ll never meet and giving them names and personalities that we can connect to. It’s honestly why those stories usually make me cry, can’t help but think of all those kids who were abandoned or abused, thought they’d been saved, just to be used by someone else in the guise of love. Depressing as hell to think about how much these sad stories in Naruto may resonate with someone who’s gone through something just as tragic in their life. But I think that’s what makes DB that much more complimentary to Naruto. It gives you the fun less depressing side of life because it feels light with no end. You won’t lose your favourite characters, and if you don’t see them they’re probably just out on their own adventures. I think Toriyama could do deeper villains, but I don’t think he wants to. Even Vegeta and Trunks tragedy isn’t something that gets explained in too much detail. We know how sad it is based on off hand comments for the most part, but the show is always trying to pull you away from the sadness once it subjects you to it. Toriyama wants lighthearted and comedic, but I think with a slight touch any of the villains could have been sadder stories, especially Cell. The way I see it, Naruto is a sad but truly engaging reality (and yes I know it has fantasy elements I mean story wise lol,) and DB is the fun lighthearted fantasy. The yin and Yang🤷🏽♀️ Damn I rambled there and don’t even know if I actually made sense🤣

2024-01-12 07:55:10 +0000 UTCIt is a testament to good writing that a character we meet for such a short time in Kimimaro can provoke such deep thoughts. So many tragic characters in Naruto. Its such a contrast to Dragonball for example. The only two tragic characters I can think of are Vegeta and Trunks and no wonder they are fan favourites. Sometimes I wonder if Toriyama was to ever write a deep villain how would it be perceived or does he have the ability to do it? I suppose you could argue he did with Vegeta but that was built up over an entire anime. Hmm...

It’s also sad to think about Kimimaro, so much promise in these young kids, but they put their all into others, and left very little importance in themselves. Sad truth to life. I guess it’s just always gonna be a what if situation😔

2024-01-12 07:27:20 +0000 UTCYup. It's one of those questions that can never be truly answered. The question if Haku didnt meet Zabuza could he have been as strong. I genuinely dont think so. I could argue that it was the purpose Zabuza gave him that enabled him to be as strong. But could he have found a different purpose, lived a happier life and be strong in a different way? We will never know.

Sakura getting shit done, and Sasuke having Naruto’s back🥹 Naruto steals the show like he always does, and that spin was so perfect! Felt like a Looney Tunes moment🤣🤣🤣

2024-01-12 06:34:46 +0000 UTCAnd just to add some trivia. I think the armor is what is giving them those jutsu. If you recall Ice Style is a Kekkei Genkai exclusive to Haku. And they were spamming it here. I think it was just the technology that was aiding them to do this.
