Car Update

So I'm back home safe from an insane weekend.

Most of my friends know I drove to San Jose on Thursday to table at Crunchyroll Expo.
Was to drive back home Monday and then I'm flying to Florida to see family Wednesday night.

On  the drive up to the con, the car was having a few lurches n shudders  but is a problem with my car specifically and I'd made an appointment  for it to go in the shop when i got back.

Friday  night it started shuddering and lurching so hard it was scary and then  the check engine light was on. I made it back to where we were staying  and spent the rest of the night panicking on what to do.

Next  morning was spent calling all the Ford dealerships as if it was the  transmission it would be covered under warranty. It however was Labor  Day weekend, the nearby places wouldn't be able to look at it til the  6th and I still needed to drive home Monday and go to Florida. I finally  found one 30 minutes north that would take it for the weekend and look  at it today/tomorrow, get me a rental car and be willing to keep the car  til me or my husband can get back in town to retrieve it after repairs  were made.

This made me miss half the day tabling at the con though I'm lucky my friend went and covered for me.

Ontop  of all this I was running on not much sleep as another person staying  at the air bnb decided to be up from 1am-5am slamming everything  possible, blasting music, singling badly, juggling tupperware (only way I  can describe the sounds he made) and made it impossible to sleep so I  was just so drained all weekend.

I'm  now waiting on the repair info to know what happens next but I'm just  so exhausted still. The con itself was still good and I did well but  this was alot to deal with for one person. @____@

I still have no  idea what the total cost will be, I'm out $350ish for the rental car  but I get reimbursed that by my insurance for $30/day and $200 of that  is the security deposit.

I  might take some commissions once I get to Florida as I'll have alittle  bit more time then but I also don't want to overwork myself as I'm  already so stressed out.
