Welcome new Patrons! Some things you should know first
Added 2017-09-10 17:29:37 +0000 UTCI noticed a large spike in new patrons these past 24 hours so I thought i would write a welcome post and clarify a few things that trip up new patrons.
Unlike a lot of other youtubers I charge per video, not per month. So if i release 4 videos in a month, you'll be charged 4 times in that month. I do this because some months i have no videos and charging per month for no videos would be even worse. But on the flip side you can be charged a lot more than you expect.
I want to be upfront about this so there are no surprises. If you're not comfortable with such a charge rate by all means alter/delete your pledge, I won't mind.
Now you can set a contribution maximum. So if you're pledging $3 and want to ONLY pledge $3 a month then you can set that limit. You can also set $6 or $9 if you prefer. By all means use it.
Also at any time if you want a full refund of all your pledges just ask. Maybe someday i do something too controversial. So for any reason at all you can ask me to refund everything. No questions asked. Now the patreon system might take awhile to process it all so it can be a month to actually get the full refund, but it will be given.
Now you'll often see me post previews and test videos here. These are for you review and enjoyment but they are NOT charged. They are free. Only the final version i publish publicly will be charged. I don't want anyone to freak out if they see 7 of the same video posted here with minor edits in between. I'm not gouging you there.

2017-09-22 21:06:21 +0000 UTCI got so much flak from some patrons for some things i did (all deserved of course, my fault entirely) that i put in that policy. Some have taken advantage of it but most have indeed decided their contributions were permanent and when they stopped pledging they were happy with letting me keep it. If the policy causes problems in the future i'll certainly make changes.
