
Finally fixed my grapes! Also fully integrated with the Simsco Canning Factory Mod.
Check out the initial post about this mod to get an overview , and here is the post describing the main features added in this nectar update.
You can make all of the six types of nectar already found in the game:
Each type of nectar comes from a particular strain of grape:
Seeds for the grapes are available randomly in the Starter Fruit Seed Pack.
You can make Bottles of nectar, which hold 6 glasses of nectar, on the Juice Fizzer (5 grapes), and Casks of nectar, which can be opened to create 6 bottles, on the Simsco Canning Factory (30 grapes), if you have it in your game.
Another feature, and the one that took almost as long as the grapes to get working, is that the nectar will age over time (about 4 days total right now).
The age stages for Nectar are:
Each age stage increases the price.
Also, if the cask or bottle is underground (in a basement, eg, Level < 0), the quality will slowly start to improve once it becomes mature. Typically, a cask that begins as Normal quality will reach Excellent by the time it's Vintage. These characteristics are passed onto the glasses that are poured from the bottles.
The quality will not improve while it is above ground.



Unopened bottles of nectar will also age and improve with quality, until they are opened. Once you pour a glass from them, they will stop aging and start losing freshness until they finally spoil. (this was, in fact, an enormous headache to get working, since nothing else works this way, lol).
After losing about two weeks to tending to sick family members, I did a flurry of work on this last weekend to get it out here. I may have missed some things. Please let me know if you find something broken, confusing, etc. Also, if you think something would work better a different way, I'm always open to suggestions.
PS. There's one kind of weird little bonus feature in this update. I've added some lot traits to create different sorts of patrons in different bars (and lounges, etc). It just causes more of the bar patrons to be a certain type. I think I put these under the lot challenges so that they didn't use up a primary lot trait slot.

The bar gets full of cops, after work. I might create a version specifically for cafes...
Criminal Bar
The bar is frequented by sims in the Criminal career
Art Bar
This is a fun one. It attracts patrons that drink and paint. And drink. There was a Paint Bar around the corner from where I live before the pandemic, and it seemed to be a lot of fun (they sold supplies, etc). Anyway, now you can have one, just remember to place some easels around.

A few other ideas I had for these were a Sports bar, an Upscale bar, and a Dive bar. If you have any ideas, let me know! BTW, I've been wrestling with the problem of creating musical themed bars in the upcoming Entertainer Freelance career I mentioned a bit a go. In other words, Country Western Bars, Blues Bars, etc. It's hard to restrict the jukeboxes, though.
