I've been working all month on an update for Better Bars and Liquor Stores that I want to add before it's ready to release. I almost had it ready this weekend, but then I broke Cranerlet Nuala grapes, and noticed that basement aging wasn't working correctly. Yet.
New features that I've added (and am trying to get working correctly) are all about Crafting! (of course...lol).
Instead of adding yet another machine to buy, I'm adding the new items to the built-in Juice Fizzing station and my own Simsco Canning Factory machine. In the process, I developed some injector code that makes it pretty easy to add new products to the Canning Factory (so boxes of perfume bottles and crates of ice cream cartons are also likely in the future).
It started with Nectar. I just wanted to add bottles of wine to bars, and allow Sims to share them (you know, like with a pizza). I got that working, but realized that I also wanted to be able to MAKE the wine. Then things escalated quickly...and I ended up with 6 new varieties of grapes to make all the types of nectar found in the Dine Out GP.
So far, I have these new products working (...mostly):
Kegs of Juice Fizz (Canning Factory recipes): requires 30 fruit, needs refrigeration, can be bottled to produce 6 6-packs of the corresponding Juice Fizz type. Can be sold to bars and restaurants at a higher price using my Food & Beverage Supplier mod.
Nectar Casks (Canning Factory recipes): requires 30 grapes of corresponding type, does not need refrigeration, gets more valuable with age. Can be opened to produce 6 bottles of wine. Can be sold to bars and restaurants at a higher price using my Food & Beverage Supplier mod.
Nectar Bottles (Juice Fizzing station recipes): requires 5 grapes of corresponding type. Also improves with age, until they are opened. Then they start to spoil like food. Can be shared, and you can also just offer a glass to another sim. Can be sold to bars and restaurants at a higher price using my Food & Beverage Supplier mod.

New strains of Grapes (Nectars):
The existing Grapes in-game can be used to make House Red Nectar.

Nectar Aging
What I want to have happen is that the wine improves in value as it gets older, and it improves in Quality if it is aged in a basement. Aging is working, basement detection is working, but the little loots that are suppose to fire off and improve the quality over time are not firing, so it's not improving the quality.
I'm not sure how long it should take to get from 'Unripe' to 'Vintage'. The value of the Nectar can never go up more than 100% from the base rate. I was thinking of either 3 days or 7 days. I have it set to 3 days right now in my testing.
All in all, I'm really enjoying some of the features this adds. Being able to share a bottle of Nectar with the Welcome Wagon is great -- just dump the fruitcake right in the trash. Once the dust from the upcoming patch settles, I'm going to focus on getting this to you.
As always, suggestions and bug reports are welcome! Thanks for your support!
