Terry is definitely a child of the 60s! Can't wait to see this beautiful person on the convention circuit 🙏

When she said vicks around your eyes man my eyes started burning and watering

Omg Kate and Terry were born the next town over from one another! Kate is 8 years older but still, so close!

RemiTheNerd

OMG I could not be more excited that Terry is joining the crew!

Kris Hansen

Welcome Terry, great interview! I have an aunt named Terry and she's awesome like you! 👍🏻

Jen V

Love love love Terry, can't wait for demands to be met during the strike and when we can finally get into DS9

Garret at UCLA, Robbie at Juliard (...New York...?) - you can't really get more top-class for Performing Arts schools can you?

Andrew Murray

I assume teletypes were basicaly a type writer connected over phone lines, and you could send/receive messages basically in real time, type it in, it sends and then is received/typed (printed) at the other end. My Dad's first job was telegram deliveries and telegraphist in the (Australian) Post Master General. (nowadays known as Australia Post/Telstra since they split post and telephone into separate depts).

We are glad you enjoyed this podcast. To answer your questions, Terry actually didn't go into stories regarding either Eric, or Brooke Shields. The edit was done the way it was because the first time Garrett stuttered a bit on asking his question after Eric Stolz was mentioned and so we had to zoom in on him because he moved too much to do a flawless transition between correcting himself. It was just a cute tidbit that Terry mentioned, and was kept in. As for the end of her mentioning Brooke, there was nothing else said, she was just saying she got to meet her. Right after she said that, they had a quick discussion on doing a count down for the outro which needed to be edited out, because I am sure no one wants to hear that lol. Again, Garrett was zoomed in on because there was too much movement in the zoom squares between what Terry had said, and Garrett doing the outro, to make for a flawless transition without zooming in on whoever was speaking.

Great interview! I can not wait until the new DS9 recaps start up. I also can not wait to hear about the reason Terry left the show as I have not ever heard anything about it. A couple of complaints about the editing of this podcast in two places. Terry was about to talk about Eric Stolz teasing her and was cut off and then at the end her story about meeting Brooke Shields was abruptly chopped and ended very suddenly. Whats up with that?

Also, hello to a fellow tall person that is not great at basketball :-)

Heather Irwin

Hmm, I just took a cake out of the oven, but now I want to make a pie!

Terry Farrell’s Jadzia Dax was perfectly played. What a beloved character Jadzia Dax still is. I have started watching DS9 again and am in season 2. She was spot on in her portrayal. The rampant sexism only hurt the shows in the 80’s-early 2000’s and was not cool. Almost forgot what writer D.C. Fontana had to endure from the 60’s forward.

ChrisB

Very interesting interview. I’ve rarely watched DS9 but I did watch Terry Farrell’s performances in the early days of the series. She is a great actress with natural grace.

Kelly Teague

I liked hearing Robert Duncan McNeils insights on acting on set vs in a classroom.

Christopher Collins

That was interesting hearing about the different conventions. I have been able to get autographs and do the virtual conventions with Galaxy Con thanks to Covid where I could not go to physical conventions due to working every weekend at a museum.

Christopher Collins

Loved this weeks episode. So excited for the next chapter of TDF with Terry and Armin.

Michael Pantner

This was awesome, thank you!!

Kelly Bee (CaptainKathryn)

What a great person! I've always loved the character she played on the Sci-fi show she was on (see what I did there!) I'm looking forward to her joining the Delta Flyers.

Patti Babiuch

Great to see Terry interacting with the boys. Looking forward to the team jumping into DS9. Welcome to the DF family Terry

If your reading this Terry as a red dwarf fan I liked your portrayal of the cat for one of the 2 pilots for an American red dwarf. Having said that even though I liked your take on cat and would have liked to have seen more of it I am glad the pilot wasn't picked up overall because I really don't think the people behind the American version understood what red dwarf was.

bakura

Terry! Alright!

Don Eitner

Very excited for the jump from Voyager into DS9. Have really enjoyed rewatching the episodes together with the podcast. Amazing work on this show. Thank you. Welcome to The Delta Flyer Family Terry
