Welcome to February!

So, to start with, allow me to yet again state my gratitude to all of you. Thank you for your support, monetary and otherwise, and for letting me know there’s an actual point to me sharing all these worlds and people living inside my head. This, rather literally, wouldn’t be possible without you all.

I’m also grateful that, yet again, the “Chef’s Choice” option has won… both polls (okay, it tied with Wordsworth on the Extra 3k Or Chapter Poll, but Wordsworth’s already being written this month). I really, reallyappreciate it. I think one of the choices would be a Valentine’s Day short story, much in the vein of One Last Gift or You Can Leave Your Mask On. Hopefully, we’ll have a whole seasonal pack by the end of the year—and maybe I’ll fit in another chapter of Tales if I have the time. As to the second option… there was a tie in the Plot Bunnies Poll, but I’m leaning toward Megamind’s misadventures with adult dating—mostly to get an excuse to watch that movie yet again.

Speaking of excuses: both the next Tales From a Lewd Fantasy World and the (tentatively titled) The Sisters From Mercury are in the middle of being written and can be reasonably expected to be posted this week. Right now, I’m (also in the middle of) writing the next All Right! Fine! I Will Take You! chapter because I was getting rather tired of how the Tuesday and Thursday posts kept jumping all over the week, and I’m pretty sure it mustn’t have been fun for you, either.

So. Consistency. That’s a new thing I’m trying.

Now, as to February and my plans for it:

- Regain my previous posting speed. This is a bit subjective, given that frequent small updates are not quite equivalent to not-so-frequent meatier ones, but it’s undeniable that both December and January weren’t my greatest months so far. I’ll do better. No excuses.

- Repost all over the internet. It’s clear I need more exposure, so… I’ll definitely try. AO3 is getting more active, and I’ve (finally) finished posting my previous two PMMM fics on Hentai Foundry, but I’ll also spread to Fanfiction.net and Royal Road. Hopefully, my wildly varied output will resonate with at least some of the audience on those sites.

- Publish more on Amazon. The Tales series is getting somewhat hefty already, reaching novel-length in word count, and I need to give it the attention it deserves. Being paralyzed about what to do with the darn covers is not a good excuse to avoid doing so.

- Next projects. I’ve already said that both Wake-up Call and All Right! Fine! I Will Take You! are gathering momentum toward what should be, if I don’t horribly mismanage them, the climax of the respective stories. When that happens, they will be replaced by a new original story that I shouldstart planning as soon as possible, given my track record with ideas that haven’t had the time to mature, so I’ll start discussing said ideas over here and on the Discord to both develop them and see where your interests lie. You get a voice in all this, after all, and I’m eager to listen to what you have to say.

- Commissions. There are quite a few accumulated words for my ongoing stories, and I definitely need to write both Ginosko and Puella Monstrum, given that not doing so during January cost me quite a bit in opportunity cost (See? That’s business speak! I can learn!). Also, that I like the stories and dislike leaving them unattended.

- Speaking of Ginosko? I really need to devote some time to editing it and Zaimokuza Gaiden into publishable form. If any of you have any suggestions, again, I am eager to listen.

So, that’s all that I want to accomplish in the shortest month of the year. May as well add “have realistic expectations” to the list. Now, it’s back to Shizu’s head for what promises to be a bit of a ride, so… see you later, everyone!
