So far so good… but it’s tedious!
Added 2023-06-28 14:43:41 +0000 UTCWe were able to separate the thin acrylic outlines without breaking anything!!!! In retrospect, we totally should have added some cuts to the “solid” pieces we were pulling out so make this step easier (that might make more sense when you’re watching the video). But hey, it’s done!
So next we made a shallow “resin container” box and poured clear resin in it, then pressed all our “outlines” into the clear resin. This should glue the outlines in place while also creating a (hopefully) perfect seal, so that when we add color the colors don’t bleed between the individual cells.
And yes, it’s VERY hard to see/capture on camera now haha. Can’t wait to add color soon! -Katelyn
