Nerf Dart Aftershow!
Added 2018-08-13 17:24:30 +0000 UTCHaha, so this project... oh this project. There were definitely times we thought to ourselves "maybe we just won't make a video out of this." In this aftershow we talk about:
-How proud we are of ourselves...
-How disappointed we are in ourselves...
-Dart design of course!
-Plus a bonus flywheel scene that didn't make it into the video!!
One thought that we didn't talk about in the Aftershow but I wanted to share here is we tried our hand at capturing some predictions before we put things to the test. It was really fun editing these in and capturing our thoughts, but we've been thinking a lot about what we think makes videos entertaining and we think a big part of it isn't so much the thing that's happening, but predictions and reactions about the thing that's happening. We've always been pretty good at managing to capture reactions, but getting predictions is kinda new for us so we're trying! It's not something that we can apply to every project or situation, but we hope we can do it more when it makes sense. Anyways, just thought I'd share some of our video shooting/editing thoughts since we're always brainstorming about that kind of stuff. Hope you like this project/video!

We tried to keep this one positive even though it didn't go as planned, but I felt like we cut out as much as we could without eating too much into the story (for example, certain hurdles needed to be shown in order for our iterations to make sense). Even though we of course hope that everyone (especially our patrons!) likes every video, we know we won't hit the nail on the head for everyone each time, and it's really good for us to hear your feedback so we appreciate you being honest! 2018-08-14 04:46:00 +0000 UTCI'll be honest, I watch E&K because you always so positive and uplifting. It's a bit of a downer to keep hearing you say you are discouraged or disappointed. At 13:40 this one is much too long. If I wasn't such a big fan (and I really am!) I doubt I would have watched to the end. I'd really shorten the three "fails" and declare round three to be a win without any qualifications. I know that may not be what really happened or how you feel about it, but it is what i think most folks have come to expect and want to see. That said you are on the verge of 100K users and I have yet to start a channel, so what do I know?? :-0 I just really enjoy watching you make as much as you do with all the enthusiasm you bring to it.
