Quick Lesson: What's In Your Scale?
Added 2022-05-12 03:24:25 +0000 UTCAn exploration of a simple idea: your scale contains everything you need in order to create music. Are you visually recognizing how materials can be sourced from it? This lesson presents 2 examples of simple materials that can be derived from a major scale.
We first begin by playing a common major scale pattern with our root note on A of the E string.
From there, I play a Maj7 and an A pentatonic scale and I try to demonstrate how these two ideas can be found within the major scale fingering that we are working with. Notice how these ideas exist in essentially the same hand position.
