About season 4: Yeah I know there's not an official greenlight yet, but fact is, the show has never been cancelled, and the crew is constantly working on making another greenlight happen. Seth Mc Farlane is very open about it and still wants more seasons. The gaps between Orville seasons are traditionally high. It took them 3 years between season 2 and 3, so actually we are still in time. The "problem" with season 3 was, that they had Covid restrictions during production, and they had to move from television (Fox) to streaming (Hulu). And that was actually a good move. Hulu doubled their budget, so they were able to make longer episodes and improve the effects. The biggest problem with season 4 was the actors strike in hollywood. Many shows have to deal with that. It made negotiations for further seasons almost impossible. Many of the Orville actors moved on to other projects, and there are negotiations to find the right schedule, to get them back together again. According to Scott Grimes (Gordon Malloy) preproduction of season 4 will start in 2025. I give you that, it's not a good sign, that there's not even an official announcement, but when you think of season 3, they were also very late with an official announcement, until everything was negotiated and planned. The Orville has another general "problem". They say it's an extreme complicated and expensive show to make. It just takes a lot of time, and also a lot of negotiating to convince Disney, to make it happen.
